Title: wolong pandacoin - what about it?
Post by: smalltimer on November 10, 2014, 05:51:13 PM
Thread was locked. Why is that?
Where is community of bagholders now? I still hold some of those. Someone knows what's the deal with it? Do we get a revival going? Coin is good if you don't look at that history but only technicals.

Talking about this one:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=460037.0

if someone knows something about it please comment. Thanks.

Coin is a scam, just keep the coins in Your wallet and be happy with it. Bagholders should do a BHC - BagholderCoin, where they could exchange any coins for BHC and keep a bag of their missed investments in one wallet instead of 50 different wallets :) .

The Wolong coin is as dead as dirt; it was delisted from the the old Mintpal exchange just before Mintpal itself died.

Here's the link to the real PandaCoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0)

I'm not an expert on the "lore" but from what I know people on 4chan set-up an alternative PandaCoin to kill off Wolong's P&D coin via confusing the market place.  It worked and the new PandaCoin took on an individual identity.

sure, sure. I was asking for some positive/constructive comments since i still baghold worthless coins (i bought them as such) but also still believe their value could maybe be salvaged. Where are all the other bagholders?

I am sorry to tell you that you have nothing at this point. Even if someone was to resurrect it, it will have no market value because wolong is a known fraud and scammer 25 year old from singapore (maybe 26).

Take it as a lesson and forget about it.

that doesn't even matter. Coin can still be brought back to a small marketcap because it was technically good. All it needs is a dedicated community.

First, you have to determine how many coins Wolong and his inner circle still hold.
Without that information, Panda will always be at their mercy. Would you invest in a company where the biggest shareholders are crooks?

Next, ask yourself if it's really worth your time to work on a clone coin that was only ever meant for the exchanges.
I know everyone have dreams of going to the moon, but Panda never had any genuine real life utility or plans to achieve that.

no way to find out who is holding what. My situation is: i hold worthless coins and the thread is locked. I know others are in the same situation. I know at least some value can be brought back. And i have to say negative and unconstructive people make me want to barf.

I understand fully your frustration, but I am only trying to state the facts of the matter. The coin was never intended to be a legitimate interest or investment, purely scam dump.

Your only course of action would be to revive it with a whole new community, but as someone else said you are still at the mercy of whoever the original dumpers were in terms of premine and any coins they still hold. That's on top of the fact that it was never a coin or any legitimate project to start with. You have no control over the frauster's actions or their holdings, courtesy of unregulated environment. Besides, no one will buy it due to its rep and if they do you are essentially doing the same thing as fraudsters.

If bernie madoff left off a project that he conducted ponzi on, would anyone trust it again? Would anyone have any reason to do so?

You are better off devoting that energy and time to starting a new legitimate project in order to gain a new footing.

probably something to it. The thread was made to get info on what the issue is. If the thread wasn't locked getting it on exchange or things like that wouldn't be a big deal. It's in my opinion just about a locked thread. So i made this thread to find others who are in a similar situation. Maybe we can get the thread unlocked or a new one started.

How would any of that change the situation regarding pandacoin? I am sorry but you have services listed on your profile and these types of questions don't do them any favors in winning confidence......

Assuming you get another thread started with people in similar situation, what's to stop anyone from screwing you over again, with no knowledge of what the original scammer did and might still do?

i don't think launching more coins is a solution either. Yes, i made a bad purchase but doesn't mean i have to accept the loss just like that. I don't share your concerns because i have seen the panda-market on mintpal. Who owns panda is not even of interest. What's of interest is at least an exchange because it can still do 7LTC a day.

lol pandacoin has been dead for more than 6 months, I don't even understand why it is popping up in here right now...
You got screwed by wolong &co, we are sorry for you, but please stop trying recovering from a scam by trying to revive it...

This is really becoming increasingly ridiculous. First we have first hand scam by original scammer, then now comes the second hand scam (revival coin...) by people who gets scammed, but wouldn't have any problem scamming other people so they can recover.  ;D

PND is still listed e.g. on Bittrex and you can dump it @ 8 sat. (It even has some volume.)

ok, I did a search on the altcoin thread, just to make sure  ;D

There is pandacoin (scrypt-n) which is the wolong one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=460037.0
An other earlier pandacoin (PAND) launched in january : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=399127.0
(I remember this one, because I once tried to send wolong-panda to a pand address on an exchange)
and there is the one who called themselves the "real" panda (PND): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0
which in fact is the 3rd panda.

strangely, we haven't seen yet a "darkpanda"  ;D

Acutally the "real" panda is delivering the greatest update in crypro this year IMO: Hybrid Lite and Full wallet that syncs the blockchain 20 -40x faster then other coins.   While its syncing you already are able to use the wallet with the lite wallet.

Everybody knows ... Blockchain download really sucks, so if it works then this is big  ;)   This is the first time a crypto is made FAST, because no person outside the cryptoworld would wait 10 hours to use a payment system.

PND is the real panda, it went as high in the #20's in coinmarketcap recently, and can be similar to doge
