Found out how old a few people were recently. Some of them shocked me, but it's really cool to see people of all ages genuinely interested in this technology. It's a very interesting way to get perspectives and advice from people of many backgrounds and cultures across generational gaps

Why did it shock you? and Im 30 btw

It's interesting to me to see people of different ages and their views on the entire scene. Certain age groups seem interested in trading, and others are generally drawn more to the tech side. Usually I can feel someone out pretty quick, but I've always been bad at guessing ages and weights. I'm just curious what the average age is around here these days

Kind of made me laugh when after 70-79, the next option was Old as Fuck. (I am way, way, way below 79)

If you're in your 80s and into crypto, I hope you can take a joke lol no disrespect to grandparents!

I highly doubt teens are going to vote or be honest about it.

Well cryptos is still an obscure technology only used by 500K-2M users around the world.  If you look at something like social media, the oldest person on Facebook is supposedly a 103 year old great grandmother.  I have happen to met several retired pensioners with tablets / computers, smartphones and facebook and yes some were older than 80.

Plus it's a fact that old people like their spend their money on the lottery, so it's probably a good thing they don't know yet about crypto currencies or the grand children's graduation present will probably be squandered on $hitcoins.

After reading all the FUD and misunderstandings on these forums, sometimes I wonder if the average age is even out of highschool yet lol

You should have put a inv-logarithmic age range.

Wisdom happen more between 18 and 19 than between 12 and 17 a range where I thing a lot of Altcoiners are located.

I am really not 100% sure on age of the altcoin subforum, but I would expect to see people in their early to mid 20's all the way up to people in their 30's use this forum the most, as this is the age group that I would most expect to be interested and involved in Bitcoin

It's not so much about age but being immature and childish and oftentimes moronic, which there is a lot of here, especially when someone disagrees with them or something isn't going their way. Pretty much the entire alt coin scene to me just seems like a bunch of teens trying to get rich quick (or that's at least how they seem to behave).
