Title: Wallet service / Mobile Wallet - Daily limit?
Post by: Kakmakr on November 12, 2014, 10:25:50 AM
What online wallet service or Mobile wallet or App, gives you daily limits on withdraws?

I feel this will give you a added layer of protection, if your wallet is hacked. ^Ha^

Instead of losing everything in one go, you will only allow the person, who hacked into your account, to withdraw the daily limit. ^Smile^

It will give you time, to sort things out, and to take counter measures to prevent huge losses. ^Grin^

I'm not aware of any that have automatic limits, but I'm sure there are some out there where you can limit yourself in the options and add encryption to prevent disabling of such features. If you google it, there should be a couple reliable wallets which have such features. I think Armory might have something; it's one of the most reliable secure wallets in existence

It must be a provider, where you tell them, what you want the limit to be, and you provide them with a "key phrase" or mechanism, that are not stored in your account, to enable you, to increase or decrease the limit.

So even if the account is compromised, the hacker, cannot increase the limit, without the "key phrase"

This provider, should also, not have control over your private key. ^Grin^

When the account is compromised, you can simply, sweep the remaining coins to another address or cold storage, to protect it. ^Smile^

Yeah, pretty sure Armory has those functions. They're (debatedly) the #1 secure bitcoin wallet out there
