It has been 48 hours since our posted notice allowing the prevous developer to deny our community takeover. However, the dev has yet to post anything so we will continue on and take it over! The source has been updated and sent to exchange operators. Exchange operators will be updating their sources soon. Latest developments

https://i.imgur.com/RPRYAoP.png Thanks to rentodev's hard work the past 48 hours, we now have new nodes online and an updated mac wallet available for download. It should not be forgotten that we have now gotten our blockchain moving again thanks to the courtesy of our team! As for the PoS before, it required 2 days to mature your coins, and the rewards were disabled! We have since reduced the coin maturity time from 2 days down to a mere 8 hours. Staking rewards have also once again been enabled (stake away!). The team is working on a road map that will be posted soon.

We are setting up testnet to test new POS reward scheme before we release new wallet and inform exchanges to prepare for update.

good to see vault alive and well, i predict high spike in price soon, there only is so many vault, and things have been quiet for a while now  :)

Volume is large enough to not be delisted, but I've also contacted them. Also wrote them about new wallet release just to keep informed that soon they will need to update their wallets.

We are starting to prepare for integration on the live network.

Getting  "libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll is missing error" on windows wallet

We're working on resolving the issue. It seems we compiled with 32bits while the version of libgcc was 64 bits.

Your rpcport is wrong, it should be 6996, but you don't need to include it.
Nodes look fine, and you should connect perfectly fine. If after changing the rpcport the problem persists, could you show a log of "ping 37.252.122.26" ?

Very good point! I have added a bootstrap.dat file in the release now. Download it here (https://github.com/haxmb/vaultcoin-takeover/releases/download/v1.3.0.0/bootstrap.dat) (md5: 13b6c51034ec6466c2297c2e46b8ac55).
Just place it in your Roaming/Vaultcoin folder (Win) or Application Support/Vaultcoin (Mac) folder.
If you open the client after that, it will use the bootstrap.dat file to update the blockchain to its current length, ±94000 blocks!
Ofcourse, always check the md5 hash first!

Im not sure if my staking is working right.I have updated wallet and on right block but doesnt seem to stake right.I have 62 coins in wallet.stake seems lower than 200%.Whats the min/max coinage for staking ???

yup.. Got 5 stakes at 0 also. Something wrong with POS on this wallet build. Guys keep your wallets locked until dev fixes.

Guys, this was explained in the earlier thread once. A lot of PoS coins, as this one, have a halving mechanism in the Proof-of-Stake transactions so as to guarantee enough blocks. I'll explain it shortly;

Say I have 10 VAULT and I send it to my local wallet to collect some stakes. Every time it stakes, it divides the VAULT into two transactions: half in one, and the other half + the staked coins in the other. In this case, 5 and 5.000002 or something.
Then, once these coins mature (8 hours later), they can both stake again. Again, halving every time.
If you have staked a lot of times already, your coins have become so small in amount, that they will not stake even 0.000001.
Then, you stake 0.00, and you post that PoS is not working in this topic.

If you send all your VAULT to one of your own addresses, you will start staking a bunch of coins again.
The old dev removed these functions, and we are now working on re-implementing them.

We will have an update for you guys in the next 48 hours. After that, 0 reward blocks will be rejected by the wallet.
Once this has been implemented, it would be a good idea to send half or three quarters of your coins to an address of yourself, so you are able to stake again immediately. This because it may take a very long time before your tiny transactions will get a stake reward again, and the blockchain will become slow.
If you have a few transactions of 1 to 3 VAULT this will not be a problem.

SUMMARY:
 - The old dev removed 0 reward blocking features, which we are reinstating
 - Send all/75%/half of your vault to a (new) address in your own wallet so you will start staking big amounts once we release the update

I do realize that coins 1/2 during a stake. I had 11 coins and each pos block was 1 coin. I think that could have broken in half. So just to make you aware that I dont think my blocks were too small, BUT I will still send all 11 coins to myself. If thats what works

Can you check on the wallet update on bittrex?  I have some Vaultcoins that I can't move to my wallet.  I feel I'm missing out on staking rewards :(

not to mention this is about to get pulled off bittrex :P

Today is the day Bittrex says it will delist Vault with low volume.  Not sure if their threshold has been reached to stop it from being desisted but it's shitty that I can't even move my coins off.  I actually think the wallet has been disabled the entire time the delisted warning message has been posted.

this coin has a really low marketcap.  with a potential alt revival on the horizon, this coin could do well if it got attention..

what are the devs' opinions on this?

The problem is that the coin is going to be de-listed from Bittrex in the next days...

It can quite easily come back if everyone sticks with it.  Fake volume is pointless anyway.  If this coin gains traction it will be back on Bittrex faster than anything.  What's more important is that the development team forge on.

So it seems that the new dev team has already given up.  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

Well this could still be resurrected if the takeover team got some balls (instead of hiding) and offered to pass on the reins to someone else.
