Title: GUIMiner stuck at "Shares:0 accepted Connecting..."
Post by: Grfz4 on June 07, 2012, 02:38:34 AM
When I click start mining, it just gets stuck at "Shares:0 accepted" and "Connecting...". This is very frustrating and I just can't seem to figure out why it isn't working. I know that I entered the correct email/username and password, after registering with both Slush and Deepbit but my GUIMiner just wont connect! I am using:

GUIMiner version: v2012-02-19
Operating system: Windows 7
Miner backend: CUDA
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
Server: Deepbit and Slush

I know NVIDIA is not the best for mining, but I am just trying to get it up and running before I invest in a better graphics card.  I have been struggling with this problem for the past few days and would greatly appreciate some help and advice.

 Thanks in advance  !

What exactly do you mean? I have the console and summary tab open. The Summary tab says: "Connecting" and the Console is blank.

Grfz4 what data are you using on guiminer? You need to create a worker in your pool profile and then use these data on the miner. Not the account data...

cablegaai it seems you don't have an opencl platform (or you don't have the driver), so of course it won't mine.

Hi Gabi, i thought you could mine with your CPU also? That's what the 'No open CL devices found' box at least says or am i mistaken here?

I get it now, you actually have to download the ATI SDK soft and install it! Someone just could have told me, and all the others who are having the same problem.
The error msg wasn't really clear when i started guiminer.exe since it said i didn't had to take care of it when i would mine on CPU.

So for all the newbies out here like me :) install the ATI SDK
