Title: Question on HYIP
Post by: leex1528 on November 18, 2014, 05:48:50 PM
So, there was a thread out there about a legit HYIP.

If someone were to host this, say me, were I stated out that this is a HYIP, there is a chance you will lose your money.  Play at your own risk.  Would people actually still play?

I mean I am trying to think here, people seem to be doing that already and then complain when they lose their money.  If you went into it knowing you could lose your money, as stated in the rules, would you still play?

Judging by the experience everyone has in this forum, no one would play...

Then why do people ever do them in the first place when they get lied to?

I strongly disagree

Many of the users on this forum have shown atleast 3 times, they do not care, if they know it is a HYIP, they will still do it. ^Greed^
People know, if you come in early, you make a profit, and the last people loose money. ^Fact^
The last one was put under the gambling section for a reason. ^It is a gamble^

So basically if I were to create one, stating it is a HYIP, and there is a chance you will lose your money, people would still actually play?  That would be interesting!

What would cause you to lose your money? No one coming in after you? Aren't HYIP usually guaranteeing profit as long as someone comes after you?

Here is the thing with HYIP, there is not infinite money, so it is going to eventually stop.  That is why there are people that lose their money, I shouldn't say chance, because its going to happen for sure!

They juggle the money coming in to pay the people before you.

When nobody NEW come into the HYIP after you, you will loose your investment.
The operator of the HYIP normally run, before that happens, and take ALL investments at that time, with them. So a LOT of people, who kept their investment on there, will loose their money. ^Sob^

This is why it is seen as a gamble ^Sniff^

at some point (when the difference between total deposits and withdrawas processed is at his maximum) they just stop withdrawals

So question, would you be willing to participate in this HYIP.  I PROMISE SOME OF YOU WILL GET BURNED, NOT EVERYONE WILL MAKE MONEY, ONLY THE EARLY INVESTORS WILL MAKE MONEY.  WHEN YOU DONATE YOU WILL GET BACK 150% of what you put in.  Ex:  You put 1BTC, you will get 1.5BTC back.  This is only assuming people deposit after you.  After 48 hours of no deposits.  Whatever is left in the bank will be redistributed out.

Would you guys play that?

I know some members will play because they think they are the early investors and would get lucky. I personally will not, because there is no guarantee there will be a payout even for the first investor.
