I’m not exactly a hell of a writer but I sent my story (will post it here if I win).
I'll ask my friends to vote for me - I guess it won't hurt.
Wish me luck, I want the 3 btc!

I’m not going to win the prize because I’m not participating, but it’s been a few days only since I discovered ShapeShift and I would like to share my experience (this might be the wrong thread, if so, I beg your pardon).

I’m sort of hard to please and I would not often recommend a thing, but I used the Lens service and I was impressed with how simple it is to use and how fast it works.

Not only the contest looks great, Cointelegraph is one of the best resources there is to find out about crypto world news.

I wish I had a story to tell so I could participate.

Here's a good one that could be a winner (wish it was about myself):

Hard to believe a bank employee could be that stupid.

Have you actually seen this article?

The three stories it mentions are something to think about. I couldn’t just believe IRS did just that:

This one: https://transferwise.com/blog/2014-01/banking-scars-a-money-transfer-horror-story/

has not exactly told me something I didn’t know existed or happened it’s just shown once more
how obsolete and screwed up the modern banking system is in many ways.

Yet a few more reasons to stay away from classical banking and fiat money.

I sent a couple of stories and I hope I win! A friend had told me a really crazy one so I sent it as well.

btw, Shapeshift is a nice exchange service and with the guys being an active part of the community I’m willing to support them by using and recommending them (as long as their rates stay reasonable).

It’s been discussed here at this forum and elsewhere that the fiat money system and traditional banking system won’t play fair and will gladly take advantage of an average user (most often with the help form the government).

And I guess one of the tasks of the community is to draw everyone’s attention to it. More people should know the alternative and learn how to us it. So what Cointelegraph and Shapeshift are doing in this context is great. Thanks!

I have joined the contest just to be a part of it (though I do not mind winning at all nut I don’t think I will).

As if we could totally stay away from banks - it would take decades for crypto money to get a noticeable share of payments.
But what should happen will happen, slowly as it might.

How safer, faster and cheaper things van become if crypto currencies keep spreading throughout the world.

To my mind this one is best so far: http://cointelegraph.com/news/113082/the-payday-deposit (http://cointelegraph.com/news/113082/the-payday-deposit)

Can't believe it's about the present day - with the stupid restrictions of the banks we use.
The way out used by the author is sort of obvious but still cool.

Guys, this story: http://cointelegraph.com/news/113067/a-cautionary-tale-against-spontaneous-joint-bank-accounts (http://cointelegraph.com/news/113067/a-cautionary-tale-against-spontaneous-joint-bank-accounts)
does not belong here - it's about a person's unadvised/silly actions mostly, not banking in general, don't you think?

No way! this story is cool! My vote is for this one.

GTA is right - this story is no good.

You just don't understand - it fits the rules perfectly and the story itself is good.

No luck here for me, well, maybe I'm better at predictions than writing stories.
Great contest anyway, I would like to thank the sponsors and the authors - great stories!
