I like the motto of second one. We can use it somehow. But my vote goes for 1 and 4. It's strange that 10 still hasn't any votes, it's stylish, too aggresive though.

Number 3 looks good.   As well as 5 and 6. ;)

When I saw 4 for the first time i didn't even realise it was an S. My vote goes to number 3, stylish and simplistic.

I would suggest limiting voting to only 1 vote, maybe 2 at most because then it is easy to see which logos are better.

I can't vote in the poll but I will say 7 is the one I would choose.

Voting with one vote per user can produce incorrect result.
Consider the following example:
1. 30% prefer logo A but also like logo B and hate logo C.
2. 30% prefer logo B but also like logo A and hate logo C.
3. 40% prefer logo C.
Obviously logo A will get 30%, logo B - 30% and logo C will win with 40%. Logo which is hated by 60% of voters will win, 60% would prefer either A or B instead. This is why two-round voting systems (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-round_system) are usually used to elect presidents (not the case for my country though where the same guy wins all elections).

My vote is for 3 and 4.

Maybe it is limited to member level or something. ???

2 and 18 look the best for me, simple and slick design.

i voted 11.  it's the one that looks the most professional made, non-mspaint done.

I love the 4 but the 3 and the 2 are well too.

how a color can be 'stupid'? It's not even a color combination, just single color.

Number 3 is definitely the best. After that I like the original one.

3 is quite good, yet I'd prefer 4 as it's even more abstract, clean and resembles the 's' in spread likewise. what makes the 4 superior to 3 is the symbolism of the spreading waves that supports the 'spread'ing and distributed character. I'd go for another colour as well, that purple violet sheme sheds a bit too much of a naive esotheric flair which is certainly not the wanted outcome... and all that bevelish glowish 90ies effects are... well 90ies... :D
I'd go for a vivid green/black orange/black - flat shaded - version of logo 3 ... best practice: always use (as) basic (as can be) colours. see.: google colours ;)

bonus would be 4 or 5 versions of the logo, each with another basic colour plus black (or white) as contrast/contour that could be displayed on a random basis every startup... one time the yellow/black then red/black, blue/black, etc. every other start, u get the pic.

apart from the colour 4 is almost perfect... some lighter colour, this and combined with some partial black outline to contrast wouldn't hurt either
