Title: Scammers Everywhere!
Post by: Garr255 on June 11, 2012, 07:29:22 PM
Recently I've received messages from new forum users, who should not necessarily be titled "scammers" right now, because they've only attempted to scam me.

The first one is hellhoundpro, someone who's definitely not the brightest bulb.

(I put up a WTB for a MIDI keyboard.)

Akai MPK61 USB/MIDI Performance keyboard fr 45 btc

Hey,

How good of condition is it in? Are all of the keys, buttons, sliders etc working and work well? Do any keys stick or not feel good?

I'd also like to see pictures and possibly a video of it working.

Thanks,
Garrett

It is very new. I only got it 3 months ago but I have to get rid of it because I am moving and won't have room for all my music equipment.  All the keys buttons sliders are incredibly smooth and responsive, they sound and feel really good.  There are no sticky keys.  I have a video of my friend using it to make a very basic beat. I promise it is very nice and if you do decide to buy it you will be getting it at a very good price. I will pay for shipping as long as this transaction can go smoothly for the both of us.

This is my friend using my keyboard:

As you can see it is in very nice condition.

Found this on YouTube with the same title as his chopped up Flickr video.

Alright cool. Did you just take that video? I need to know that its still in the same condition. I'll give you 45 for it and a usb cable for it shipped.

I just made that for you, and it sounds like a deal! I already have it boxed up cause originally I was going to take it with me. Whats your address?

This confirms he's lying... so I thought I'd have some fun.

Cool, can you send me some pictures now? Be sure to include your username on a piece of paper in the pictures.

I knew he'd say something to the effect of this:

its already boxed and cushioned so that it doesn't get damaged during shipping. blagh

Please unbox it so I can verify its condition. Another video demonstrating use of all of the keys would be nice as well.

Wow, that's really good quality. What kind of camera do you have?
Please include your username in the picture too. Get another picture of it right there, but close up on the sides kind of at a cool angle.

I then ran it through photoshop only to find that TinyPic rips all of the camera info out of uploaded pictures. By this point I'm just trollin'

I've demanded something he's obviously incapable of producing, so he quits.

I have a a nikon  SLR. hey i'm sorry to tell you this but someone just offered my 50 btc for it on another site so I'm packing it up for him! Best of lucky finding another one!

Then I make a substantially higher offer, to try to pull him back in.

If I were to offer you 70 coins would you take it?

I already packaged it and taped everything down in my last box and I am moving really soon so I'd like to ship it by today so I can just get it off my mind. I don't have time to repackage everything again so your going to have to be satisfied with my the video, picture and my word. If you are ok with that and are willing to pay 70 then its yours.

Sure, buddy...
He obviously doesn't want the trouble of doing a decent photoshop job :P

Here's another one asking for a loan.

hey,

iam a 25 years old german woman and i need a small loan over 20 btc for 1 month.
please answer me positive, because i search for a loan so long.
my english is not the best sorry.

This one was super obvious...

What do you need the loan for? How should I know that you'll pay me back? Please provide proper identification so if you do not pay the loan back I can alert the proper authorities. This is standard procedure, and necessary. If you provide false information that is also a felony in most countries.

no problem i give you a copy of my identycard and i self where i hold my identycard in hand
i need this for me and my baby

hello?? ???

I just decided to ignore this...

All people trading here, please be careful and cautious. I would hope the signals above are like someone screaming SCAMMER in your ears, but unfortunitely not everyone sees things like this. I hope somebody gets something out of this!

Yeap, and I'm pretty sure hellhoundpro is a sock of SexyVictory since they have both "successfully" traded with each other.
