The coin isn't Brilliant Uncirculated, it's Almost Uncirculated 50, details, the details being the rim damage where it was dropped and the scratch on the neck. And yes I have a few in various grades, the point being, I deal coins and unfortunately this one lacks much of it's original numismatic value. In my professional opinion (and yes that's how I make a living, I'm a coin dealer) this particular example has been reduced to bullion value (it really is a fairly common coin) so anytime you can get an offer past that, take it. If you want a second opinion, post it up for grading ( and don't mention at all that you are selling it or they'll boot you off) at coin community forums. Yeah 1005, take it.
