Title: [IDEA] Every my "like" is a small BTC pay
Post by: TeslaUa on June 13, 2012, 09:36:48 AM
Let's say every my facebook "like" (or similar) makes a small bitcoin payment to the author. The amount is so small, it is negligeble (flattr-like?) to me. Now, if author does not have an associated bitcoin address with him, the money just stay with me. That gives author the incentive to have a bitcoin address just not to miss the opportunity.

It is hard to wait for existing social network to adopt such idea yet starting your own social network from scratch is no winning game, there must be a way to cooperate with existing one. I'm no facebook programmer but is it possible to implement such functionality as a 3rd party service?

Normal people do not use FB but similar idea for less sick blaa-blaa environments is here:    use *coin for rating points in a news portal (or blog) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79941.0)

Well, there are strong opinions of facebook and social networks in general, but no subjective judgment can change objective truth that social networks are already part of everyday people's lives.

So rather than discarding at hand the possibilities it offers it would be wise to try to exploit it ;)
