LOL? :D He's just asking to appraise a simple domain.....

From what I know .auction is still not open for wide public, but if I had to make a fair guess it would be $50-$100

Yeah no, that's not how it works. If anyone else is willing to give me an opinion on how much p2p.auction could worth please feel free to do so.

It's quite funny actually, I've never heard someone asking to be paid in order to give a price appraisal for a domain. Or any other item in general.

Domains, yeah there's an entire industry behind them. Domain appraisals on the other hand, they're done for free all over the web.

I'm talking about the appraisal industry, which is probably just about as large as the domain industry.

Automated domain appraisals are a joke. You can always post in a domaining forum to get an accurate opinion for free, but there are consultants who do this for very high fees.

I do agree that automated appraisals are worth nothing.

Some premium domains are valued at ~$50 by these clown appraisers, and rubbish domains are worth thousands of dollars in their eyes...

Even if professional domain appraisers tell you it is worth + $10,000 you will probably never get that.

Finding a buyer for such a domain is a real task. But lets say if i were to buy it, i would probably pay 5$ on top of how much it cost you to register it.

Automated domain appraisals are only good for a limited type of domain, and generally are for spammy type websites/domains. They will generate an estimate as to how much traffic has gone to the domain over "x" time and how much you can expect to earn from advertisements. It does not factor in the fact that you can provide quality content and advertise to generate more traffic
