Title: Purchasing reasonably-priced BTC in Australia? Post by: Waspcock on June 15, 2012, 03:12:42 AM I've looked at other threads on this topic, but I was wondering if any better alternatives have been identified.
Ever since BitPiggy went down, any competitors have upped their prices ridiculously, and the fees associated with most global markets (particularly bank wiring to Mt.Gox) are frustratingly prohibitive. SpendBitcoins's rate and 10% fee is crazy. Is anyone aware of an affordable means of purchasing BTC using an Australian bank account, PayPal (god forbid), etc.? I need around 30-35 at present. Gox rate plus 10%, which is an entirely reasonable fee considering the service they provide (besides, if bitcoins go up in value (as they tend to do) the 10% fee will pay for itself very quickly).
