bitcoin will be under a 100 dollars or over a 1000 dollars in a few months?better to keep your bitcoins or sell them?

Better to keep them, its a simple math problem, we are below the middle price.

If you were desperate for money you should sell some.

how much is the middle Price?

The linear middle price is 550 USD/BTC (assuming OP meant USD).  The logarithmic middle price is 316.23 USD/BTC (2.d.p).

The current price is about 380 USD/BTC so logarithmically we're closer to 1000 USD/BTC but linearly we're closer to 100 USD/BTC.  Indeed, linearly, we're currently closer to 1 USD/BTC than we are to 1000 USD/BTC.

I would predict neither, but I definitely think that it is more likely to go over $1000 than under $100. I don't think we'll ever see prices under $100 again.

Under 200 dollars is my bet.

IMO in a few months bitcoin will be about the same price as it is now. We have had months where the price went sideways already and it might well continue.

If you talk about few months I can see that price will not have any variation. But is much probably that price will go up to 1000$ and not 100$, it is very hard to reach 100$ because there are too many interest to stop this price decreasing.

I also assumed your were saying it was an equal chance of both scenarios happening but 1 will happen.

Markus and Willy, without them price would have only reached an ATH of about 500$ - 600$ and months later than Nov 2013.

It won't be under 100$, not sure if it will be over 1000$.

Neither, it's to stay where it is and finally get the trust of new investors.

In the next few weeks we will see price go to 500 again, probably 480. Then the crash will continue

I think the current price is the fair price (real value plus anticipated future value to some degree).

I read a lot on here saying we're in a bear market, but to me I'd say we're in a mild bull market, but it doesn't really have too much conviction at the moment.

I don't see >$1000 this year, maybe 2015 can easily overcome that if there is some compelling reason.  I'd like the price to go up, but even better I'd like to see people thinking as 1BTC=1BTC rather than value it in Fiat, then we'd never have to be concerned about the health of the Fiat currencies.  I guess I'll have to dream for a few years more.


Addendum:  I think the main thing that will push prices around for the forseeable future will be TA traders rather than fundamental paradigm change.

I don't think it's likely for the price to go below 100 USD. The main reason why i think that is because people simply won't sell if the price is too low. Most people will just prefer to hold on to their bitcoin, assuming one day it will go back up.
For bitcoin to go over 1000 USD within a few months is POSSIBLE. Looking at the history of BTC, it wouldn't surprise me at all...
Right now i don't really see why it would do that, though. If there is no major news in the BTC world, or no major company accepting bitcoin as payment, i assume it will stay steady.
