And, don't purchase anything related to BFL or AMT or by Joshua Zipkin, unless you have more money than brains, then by all means order several million dollars worth.

hi have an office with server room i was thinking of putting it in so noise is no problem, and setup looks easy enough

could elaborate more
 a) why aren't they for a new person?
 b) are they reliable
 c) the is the calculation thing correct?

A) Not sure.
B) SP and Bitmain are two companies I recommend.    Look at either.
C) If it is one for ROI the difficulty changes are not constant.  So it can be a educated guess, feeling, but will never be 100 percent right.

I agree with that post for sure. Just avoid that AM hardware since it is well priced, but will most likely not work.

then you are not "new ".  you have access to a high end place to mine with cooling and venting. my bad to use the word new

the sp30 will burn 2500 plus watts to get you your 4,5th

the sp20 wiil burn 760 watts to get you 1324 gh---- underclocked

if your server room can handle the 2500 watts  the noise and the heat go for it.

Are you getting seriously cheap electricity? If not, consider the possibility of buying BTCs instead of investing in mining. Sit down and do the calculations.

No way in hell should you get a SP-30 for home, not unless you want to risk burning the muthaFka down!

Your best bet is to get a small miner like an Antminer U3, play around with it, put it on your desk, pet it etc:

If you want to accumulate Bitcoin, just buy it.  You won't make money mining at all.

This is specially true with the price of bitcoin right now.
You would almost never be profitable,
and the difficulty will increase by the beginning of next year.
