Title: Power Rockminer with ATX PSU Post by: h4344 on November 30, 2014, 10:49:25 PM Okay so i have an ATX PSU that i want to use to power a Rockminer. The only problem i'm having is when i connect my barrel jack to the yellow 12v lead and black ground leads on the molex connection and plug it into the miner my PSU turns off.
I'm using the paperclip mod on the 24 pin connector to turn it on (pretty sure im doing it right). The miner uses a 12v 6a connection. EDIT: Nevermind i found the solution, i moved my barrel's to the PCI connection instead. It still puts out 12v but i think the amperage is much higher compared to the molex connectors. |
