Title: Help - I'm new
Post by: thetoastsnob on December 01, 2014, 04:13:06 PM
I've read so much about mining today that I don't think my brain can process it all and yet I feel like it's just the tip of the iceberg. I have GUIMiner running and I've made an account at mining.bitcoin.cz. I think I'm doing something wrong because my stats aren't updating in 'My Account' on the website.

I took some screenshots that might help:

I'm using a PC running Windows 8.1 with an AMD A4-5000 APU 1.50 GHz Processor with 8.00 GB of RAM installed.

I appreciate any help or advice you can offer. Thank you!

I suggest doing ROI math.  Sadly the day's of regular computers mining are over for most.

If I understand it looks like your trying to mine BTC with a regular computer (CPU even).   I suggest looking at asics if you are wanting to mine BTC.

Sadly mining bitcoin with CPU/GPU is a thing of the past. Even with some of the ASIC's you will never receive profit at the current difficulty/price.

I would suggest you don't mine with your computer as you are actually loosing money (power costs) and just burning out your hardware.

if you want to learn and play around mining,   send me a PM  with your address  and I will ship you a antminer U1  usb miner.   It wont mine much,  but will be better then using your GPU or CPU.
