I came to this verse in Ecclesiastes and had a hard time reconciling why Solomon would come to this ultimate conclusion about women. Proverbs is legendary for double and triple meanings and I thought this may be the case with this quote as well. If we reason we are endowed with an infinite God given mind by our Creator perhaps he meant men are 1's and women are 0's. A circle is still infinite under pie (3.14 something something something) and well a straight line or 1 is of infinite length under geometry. It goes to being a receiver or giver as well I think and other sexual stuff. Maybe he was just trying to say "hey, we all booleon" Just a little biblical computer joke I came up with lol. Everything that exists, exists as some unity, so it can be identified as 1. Everything that does not exist, even as a concept, is identified with the void and nothingness, so can be identified as 0. So everything is 0 and 1, in some sense |
