We are launching alpha version of https://www.blockonomics.co . This helps you to keep track of balance / transactions of bitcoin addresses. It doesn't require your private keys,  you can add any public bitcoin addresses and enjoy !

• You can use this  to help you in receiving payment/debit alerts. It sends out a nice notification email on credits/debits. A maximum of one email is sent per block per user.

• Transactions can be viewed in Activity logs
• If you have coins in cold storage or use desktop  wallet, you can use this service to easily monitor the balance of your wallet from anywhere.  No need to open your bitcoin wallet each time. Just add all your addresses and chill out with peace !

Server uses leveldb to store/index bitcoind data. In process of adding more features like visualization of transactions and API support.

Well, this idea is good - people can receive on E mail info on transaction. I think it can work as addition to desktop wallet - Bitcoin, Multibit, and even in online wallets too, like Blockchain.

Cool service and pretty design ;) I like it!

Suggestions: Use HTTPS, Website Title (currently shows the URL "http://www.blockonomics.co/"),  Show graphs of the balance of a wallet address...

No need to remember those cryptic bitcoin addresses. You can label them and live peacefully, for example I tagged addresses as personal, work and cold storage

Another cool feature would be toggle balance between bitcoin and dollars or an optional national currency field.

I have been using only demo but this option already exists. I like to see my balance in EUR so I set it in settings to €.

Tried the demo. Looks better than other similar services I'm using.

However  couldn't find INR under the listed currencies. Since the service is based in India, I was hoping for INR.

+1. I also need INR. You can use API from fiat currency converters' and then convert USD or other currency to INR - a simple suggestion.

Good suggestion, though there is considerable difference between the convert price and the trading price indian exchanges are operating on.  This task is high on priority.  Keep watching the thread , I will post an update soon

It's looks great! It is really a great hassle sometimes to look all the addresses up and it really relieves it! Plus it has INR now
Hope there will be a better Indian exchange in future which will/can be used for this purposes instead of converting from USD , but more than nothing.

Most users wanted to try our product without signing up, so we have added few features to enhance privacy :

• You can login as guest. You guest user session cookie is valid for 7 days
• You can relogin using ur unique guestuser id by setting password of ur choice
• If you are concerned about address privacy. You are free to add multiple address to mask any knowledge of address onwership. We allow upto 20 addresses

This looks absolutely great!  Good for you guys.  My only suggestion is to add the option of a BIP32 HD wallet [via master public key] (for us electrum users who want to watch our wallets easily online).  Other than that, it looks absolutely great!

Not to worry, just made use of the gmail login and that worked.

Just a note though, I registered making use of two different addresses and in both cases the registration went through and I received the mails and followed the links and in both cases received the emailid is incorrect error. So not sure whether its something my side and or on the site.

Thanks for the suggestion ! My understanding of BIP32 wallets is not very good. Just to clarify, so the user will enter his MPK and say suppose an index 50 and the system will generate all his 50 public addresses and monitor them, right ?

Did a small testing and it seems to work well! IMHO, its better not to show any address if an xpub entered is not used (yet).

Sentinel is a good example. Try to implement something like that.

I agree Sentinel is looking good. However I'd like to add several xpubs. A merge between Sentinel and Bitcoin Balance would be ideal. Do you know how to contact the Sentinel devs?

I don't care about mobile friendliness in a browser so much. I'd rather have a one tap app, instead of having to: open browser, navigate to the page, login, etc.

I don't like sites like this because I think it's bad practice to give one site a list of addresses that you own, they can be connected and it lessens your privacy.

If it helps.. your are logged in for a month, so you don't have to bother logging in again. Just directly goto your bookmarked url or pin the bookmark to  home screen (http://mobile-pixels.com/pin-webapp-website-android-homescreen/).  Our mobile site is really optimized so you shouldn't feel much of a difference from a native app

Anyways, I understand ur preference for native apps. It will take us some time/resource to build a good looking android app. Yes, Sentinel looks good !


We have ways to mitigate privacy issues. You can keep using guest login and are not required to use your own emailid. Also you can add extra dummy addresses to mask the addresses you really control. Of course, it wont give u the level of privacy from native walllet or bitcoind.
