They had an in-store poll asking shoppers if they'd ever want to get rid of the printed bills and just use points card reward systems like everyone else. I told them the printed bills were the only thing making the program unique. I think a lot of people shared that opinion, because they're still using the printed bills. I don't know if Canadian Tire shoppers are the right demographic for a cryptocurrency. But the rewards systems in general might be... if this became a cryptocurrency which you could purchase with ANY company's loyalty points and effectively exchange them for any other, now THAT's something I could get behind. Redeemable for gas and food at 10c cash transferring Air Miles is not feasible. Many other loyalty programs are locked or have high transfer fees.
