Title: WTB decent laptop for BTC
Post by: Insuremeplz on May 18, 2011, 08:23:06 PM
My laptop is 6 years old and basically doesn't work any more. I have 31 BTC and can also include a few USD if it's a relatively new machine. PM or post with offers.

You're looking for a laptop for ~200 USD - way too low. I've got a fairly new, portable laptop that's moderately powerful for ~70 btc shipped in the USA. PM for more info.

What does moderately powerful mean? Can you give some specs?

31BTC is all I have. I'm willing to pay up to $350 worth of value when throwing in extra USD through paypal or check by mail. I don't think that's too low. There are prices all over the internet in that range, for example:

Best Buy has Lenovo IdeaPad Z565-43113LU Laptop on sale for $379.99 with free store pickup.

Specs

    AMD Phenom II Dual-Core N660 3.0GHz
    3GB DDR3
    320GB HDD
    15.6" 1366 x 768 LED-backlit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4270 graphics w/ HDMI
    Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive
    WiFi N
    6-cell Battery
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit

I'll probably just end up buying through an online retailer, but I enjoy using/supporting the BTC economy so I figured I'd try here first.

That, except with an upgraded hard drive and windows 7.

Might not be in your size range, but it's great as an ultraportable :)
