Title: Has Anyone heard of this Miner?
Post by: Odeyin on December 07, 2014, 01:42:41 AM

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261685657888

On Ebay this guy is selling something that is a Digital Video Processor but is labeled with:

Saturn Systems Bitcoin Miner Model 23 Prototype 3.0TH

I have asked the seller to provide a photo of the rear where presumably the connections are, but they have not responded (been 2 days).

Has anyone heard of this miner? Or that this company was dabbling in mining?

Its a scam, you already knew it is.

It is not scam, if you get what you see in pictures.
This is real device, but today totally worthless.
You only need to know that 3.0TH is not 3.0 Terahash Asic Miner.
This device is not to be sold on eBay for the first time.

We found that listing too, and were wondering what the heck it was.

Let's see...

Brand new user with zero feedback, registered 26-Nov-2014, has a bunch of high-dollar listings going.

If you look at the pictures closer - it says audio/video processor, the second picture and line where it says saturn bitcoin miner - is a "photoedit" you can see it if looked at the full sized picture.

SCAM.

The sad thing is that 50 people could report it and ebay still wouldn't do s**t about it.

They will try to drag out the buyer with shipping until payment clears then gone like a fart in the wind. Same old BS scam.

Seller says "The item came from some unclaimed freight from a packing and shipping company.  I am not sure what this is."

You buy it and you will be stuck with a box that most likely will never mine anything.

It MAY not be a scam because it is possible that the dude selling actually has no clue what it is.  I wouldn't bet on it, but he does seem stupid.
