There are a lot asking for the price on Dec 31 2014/Jan 1 2015.

Considering we were up pretty high last year, the predictions will be very high from last year.

Predicting prices is a thankless game.

You get bashed if you are wrong, called lucky if you get it right.

Predicting prices is a thankless game.

You get bashed if you are wrong, called lucky if you get it right.

And that is the way it should be unless you actually provide a legitimate basis for your prediction, which people almost never do. If you just post a prediction and don't explain why you believe that, then it is 100% luck if you get it right.

The basis can be challenged as well.
If people were able to make exact predictions, they would be very rich.  :)

We will get close to testing 400 again after that 335 drop today, its definite, mass accumulation these last few days... When was I ever wrong?

Never dropped to 335$ today. Might be only on 1 particular exchagne. Lowest it went on bitstamp today was 348.

Several people got the price correct, or were relatively close (remember, just a few months ago, the general consensus was that we'd be well above $1,000 USD at this point.

Sadly, most of those people who WERE right were banned from posting here during the great bear purge of September/October.

Well, there was your post on October 09 when you predicted the 300 range will be hit at the weekend.  The price was $363 on October 9th, but it had gone up to $376 on Sunday October 12th.

http://s14.postimg.org/ryhvd5035/fewcoins.png

You were right about the recent spate of dumps though. I was stupid enough to get that one wrong. Looking back it was obvious the auction winners would dump.

Daily 5% growth would be amazing but I'd bet dollars to donuts after 1 month of sustained 5% growth the price would skyrocket like crazy creating a new bubble.

Very true, I wonder how high the bulls can bring this up!!!

IMO next friday we'll be back at the $300-$330 range.  2016 will be interesting IMO.

BRICs, BTC havling, Merica attempts to launch it's pig tax laws on other countries.. a very interesting year it will be.

just a short squeeze before... we are already lower than 350, the 300 range will be hit this weekend!

I think this year was building year for the bitcoin. In other words, infrastructure is been laid down for the future. It is same thing as having solid foundation before you build the house. If you don't have it, it doesn't matter how is built b/c it is going to failed somepoint in the future.

I realized that it really tough for many individuals like myself just mining away while losing money in the process but I remember some quote from warren buffet where he states " it takes personal courage to invest something in which where everybody runs away" (something like that, I can't quite remember) Basically he is saying don't follow the herd, follow your instinct. I truely believe that the most of us who got involved in cryptocoin arena will be vindicated later on.

"Warren Buffett is warning investors to "stay away" from Bitcoin, calling it "a mirage," when asked about the digital currency's long-term potential.

that is true but he admitted that he didn't understand the concept of bitcoin. If you don't understand in the first place, how can you invested, that is the reason why he said what he said

He understands it well enough to tell people to stay away.

Quote
"Buffett chooses the examples of the car and aviation industries. Many people saw the revolutionary potential of these inventions, but such clairvoyance would be worthless to an investor if he chose the wrong car company. The same goes for aviation — which has notoriously been a difficult industry to profit from, despite its revolutionary effect on society.

And by this logic, Buffett is right to be skeptical of Bitcoin. Whether you hope to profit from the rise of cryptocurrencies by investing in Bitcoin itself, or companies that would profit from Bitcoin’s ascendence like the Andreessen-backed Coinbase, you’re going to need to know more than just the fact that cryptocurrencies will change the world to make money."

I don't believe it is the same thing. The bitcoin is not just company to invest in, it goes deeper than that. It changes the fundamental of money......When I used warren buffet quote, I was referring to investing in general terms not in one particular investment, company, etc....

Yea bro awesome, I send a micro transfer and I wait over an hour for 2 confirmations lmfaooo Fuck it, let's let this centralized currency be run my mining farms and pools just destroying bitcoin!!! This experiment might have actually worked if they didn't come out with ASICs... Bitcoin & the alts just all turned into scams instead of being a napster type system where we can all exchange whatever we want without third parties raping us!

Something great will be created from all of this, I promise you, unfortunately bitcoin is not the solution but rather the stepping stone
