"The technology has so much potential, and it just cannot be un-invented. Its adoption really is inevitable."

Always good to read positive articles, instead of the sensationalistic ones we usually read in the main stream media.

Kudos CNBC for allowing guest writers to put out commentary about our favorite Cryptocurrency, and not censor or make a mockery of what will most likely be the future of money.

Thank you great article . Good read I think bitcoin has a positive future. As they said most hacks are because of operator error.. It's sad but I think true

Inspiring quote. Bitcoin is too versatile to be removed and ignored.

It's good to see bitcoin news now making its way into the mainstream media. Imagine the impact in terms of attracting new investors and such to help promote bitcoin as an alternative currency. Nevertheless, I believe this is just the start. When the adoption rate goes higher and becoming more and more popular, that is where we'll see bitcoin news being reported daily AND on the front page.

Good read... also i have found on CBS a news story about googles most searched term with the phrase "what is... " in front of and bitcoin had made #4 on that last...

I agree with this, but my fear with bitcoin is it wont get fully adopted for a very long time and something better may have come along by then. I hope bitcoin succeeds but if if it doesn't it will likely be something based on it.

Why do you fear something better coming along?

Bitcoin would likely just adopt new features/changes to become better itself.

And this would be made to happen because there's so many people who have a vested interest in it doing well. It funds its own success.

Nice article and good to see, but I wish people wouldn't use wording like this: "a truly trustworthy form of money, one whose value was constrained not by the laws and weaknesses of man, but by the universal laws of mathematics"

I'd rather see a word like 'integrity' used. To non bitcoiner readers, 'value' is going to imply something to do with exchange value or purchase power, and as bitcoin is famously very, very volatile and apparently not 'backed' by anything, the first thing they will do is disagree. This undermines the rest of the article. To be fair he does go on to expand on what he really meant, but it still gives doubters a little something to laugh at.

Also, this is a guest article by a guy involved in BTC, not some regular journo (who make their money being a reactionary and ignorant bunch, more often than not) - we're not quite that far along yet  :P
