Warsaw’s newest Bitcoin ATM is now open for business at Bobby Burger on Emilii Plater 47 Street. The company responsible for launching the machine is Bitcoinomat.pl, run by local members of the Bitcoin community.

The Bitcoin ATM allows users to buy bitcoin in less than 30 seconds. A user simply selects their desired language, hold a bitcoin wallet address up to the machine, and inserts cash. Upon pressing ‘Send bitcoins’, the user receives a confirmation on their phone of bitcoins received. In using the machine, customers will never need to register on exchanges, sending bank wires, or searching for people to sell them bitcoin. Just visit Bobby Burger and stock up your wallet.

Bobby Burger is located in the heart of the city centre, right next to one of the busiest rail stations and biggest shopping mall Zlote Tarasy (Golden Terraces). It is a very popular destination where people come to eat, chat and socialize. “My first thought was that this is a perfect location for a machine,” said Andrzej Głowicki, principal owner of Bitcoinomat.pl (http://bitcoinomat.pl). “After contacting the owner and explaining to him how a Bitcoin ATM would work, I got the green light and full support from Bobby Burger to run the machine and promote it.” Within next few days, Bitcoinomat.pl and Bobby Burger plan to bring bitcoin payments to a number of Bobby Burger locations. Not only will customers be able to easily purchase bitcoins at the machine, but they’ll be able to spend them as well for food and drinks.

The Bitcoin ATM is accessible at Bobby Burgers during their open hours of 12.00-23.00. It features Polish, German, and English language options and accepts Polish złoty, dispensing bitcoin directly to the customer’s Bitcoin wallet.

An event, “Eat burgers with Bitcoin”, is planned for 17th December at 17.00 to showcase the machine to local media and the Polish Bitcoin community.

The screen is small, so this is the first model of Lamassu, I thought they supply new ones for quite a while.. Or did it take so long to find a place?

maybe they should reduce the size of those thing, i think they are still pretty big, a bit anti-aesthetic, and they look quite ugly also

I don't visit Warsaw too often, but ATM is a useful to have around.

there is no limit BUT there is limit per transactio nof around 330USD ~ 1000 PLN

yet you can do few transactions in a row

It's exciting to see one. The idea of swiping your device and instantly get the bitcoin would be neat. Hope that someday where ever you go you can always the machine at every corner

Poland is a great place to visit if anyone hasn't travelled there

Actually this is the only BTM working right now in capital [Warsaw/Poland] and its also the best placed machine in whole country.
If you decide to travel to PL, do not miss this spot!

actually from my experience i can say that its much harder to buy coins from atm than on the internet

It's funny because fiat ATM's are removed everyday here, and more Bitcoin ATM's are getting installed

ive only used this lamassu but it takes literally 10 seconds [literally if you have QR code ready!] to get BTCs of it into wallet [and just wait for confirmations while walking away from the machine].

Indeed lamassu is ultra-fast :) You can see people on YouTube recording their adventures with Lamassu.
You can literally buy BTC in 5-10second if you have fast hands :D.

I am truly proud that there is Bitcoin ATM in Poland! I am very sure that other cities will get BTC ATMs too in 2015 :)

Well people are certainly going to be lot more involved in Bitcoin now, in those places.

The Polish Army will now have money to feed their horses.

Polish Army is one of the best on the planet no matter if they ride horses or tanks ;)

Polish special forces like "Grom" are well known all over the world.
But they aren't riding horses for sure.
Unfortunately I doubt they use Bitcoin for their purposes.
Perhaps one day they will.
