Title: getting btc out of old btce address Post by: theendisgone on December 11, 2014, 09:03:00 PM I have had a deposit into my old btce.com btc address which they changed everyones address in july and gave them new ones .Does anyone know how I can retrieve the btc from that old address into my new address as btce say they cant transfer the btc. Thanks any advice or help welcomed.

Thanks any advice or help welcomed. I don't know how quick they are with btc-e. But have you tried to contact them to do it? Unless somehow you had the private key (which I have no idea if btc-e does). Without the private key you will need their help to access the address. Thanks any advice or help welcomed. There is a very low chance to get these coins back. I'm not sure how long they keep old addresses before they get pruned. I hope the amount is low. Can you show us your old BTC-E deposit address that shows 30BTC has been deposited? That might help us to find the destination of the coins if they haven't been mixed yet. Why did they changed the addresses in July? its possible the private keys were either compromised or lost. Have the funds moved from the address? are you comfortable posting the bitcoin address you deposited to here? I'm sorry to say but in any case you're at the mercy of BTC-e.
