For 500 BTC you should tried harder. No Algo and PoW for 100% premined coin. I don't think that this will succeed... Best of luck tho.

Thanks for the tip! We are sticking with 2000 satoshi's because this industry is worth a-lot more than just our initial coin offering. NooHack is a company that is registered, and it will be the first to be selling these coins which can be used to buy products from the store straight away. We will be making the store available to much more people outside of the crypto community and given the fantastic discount available to them with NooCoin, there will be constant buy support from customers who wish to seek their discount. We will be releasing a NOO/BTC and NOO/FIAT exchange to allow for customers to get their coins. Again, this adds to the constant circulating economy which is always healthy.

Again, NooHack disagree. We have a finite number of coins, and a small inflation model. The industry as a whole is very large and far exceeds the market cap which we seek at the coin offering. We are not a scam. Let me just iterate again how things work. We are raising a small fund which seek to serve several purposes. Firstly, we believe in crypto currency being used in businesses models like our own. We feel that in many retail environments both online and offline, the 'points, gift cards, loyalty points' systems are already being successfully used in industry. You bring a good point across here in regards to our products. It's clear that you don't understand the nootropic family of supplements, let alone recent developments of products in the 'racetam family, their chemical make up, and mechanism of action.

If Bitbay's taught us anything, it's to just say no to ICOs.

Especially ones for coins that have basically ripped off another's ideas. Euphoria (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=863799.0) already announced they were going to be offering noots via their website. And they didn't have any of this ICO bullshit either.  ::)

Firstly, your mention of Euphoria is the first i've heard about this store. Upon viewing the thread, it is very apparent that they are not a nootropic store. They are a distributer of 'legal highs' for recreational purposes. Our store does not in anyway advocate nor stock any gray area recreational drugs. Our products are supplements whos nature is to enhance one's cognition. Not get high
The ICO method of distribution is not 'bullshit'. We have not ripped off other people's ideas.

We simply believe that crypto currency is a real way to run our store, but we set out to build a business that was solely focused on nootropics. Secondly, PoW is an option we have considered, but an ICO serves our purposes better. We do want the distribution of the coins to be fairer. A PoW coin will likely end up in the hands of a Chinese  mining farm with 70%-80% of the supply. Secondly, we have an honest business, with full transparency and even registered as a business in the UK.

Just because one business sells the same products as us, doesn't automatically make our project bullshit, or imply that we copied anybody's ideas.
Our giveaways and tiered account system means that users will earn more NooCoin just by being part of the community and buying their favourite noots.

I appreciate your concern, but the fact of the matter is, we're delivering these products and the coins will be useful from day 1.
I do have incentive to sell the ICO because it goes towards getting the business off the ground. The whole process of enabling payments with NooCoin to the logistics of distribution, shipment, packaging, branding etc. All incur costs. These costs have been fronted by us and we've taken a reasonably large risk to sell our products for the coin because we believe in Crypto Currency aiding our business.

You forget, because these coins have utility from Day 1, while we do raise BTC, we also provide the stock to allow for 500 btc worth of NooCoin to be spent at our store.

 

Think i'll stick with EUPH plus I can't stand ICO's.

Nootropics! I'm definitely interested in learning its effects. Does anyone here use them? It would be interesting to hear about user experiences.

As for the coin itself, I am pleased to see a company actually having a product ready to provide at launch. The store I believe would probably be successful based on its competitive pricing and even BTC discounts. For avid Nootropics users, NOO is giving customers a better deal alongside a loyalty programme. Good things all around.

I'm curious about these marketing events that are going to be held.

Thank you for your response! Yes the 10% BTC and 25% NOO discounts will hopefully attract more nootropic fans into crypto, and likewise bring more crypto fans into nootropics! We decided to that taking a hit on profit margins was worth the reward of creating a synergy between the two areas.

In regards to the marketing events, we will be hosting in London during January.

The event will consist of give-aways, promotional items, and of course the sale of our product. It is our first step to breaching the gap between cryptocurrency and the general public.

This coin is just a copy/clone of EUPH(Euphoria) which was every successful and we already know we can trust them. Go get some cheap coin on C-Cex if your interested in this type of coin. Oh and this NOOcoin has an ICO, yeaaaah I think I will not invest my btc in this. We all saw what happened with BitBay ICO, ICO are scams MOST of the time.

Whilst I respect your view about questionable ico's, we simply are not that. We will be doing a Google Hangout shortly where you may ask us any questions in person on video. As I said earlier, the decision to run a nootropic store was completely irrelevant to EUPH. This project has been in the works for longer than them even considering deciding to sell Nootropics. We will soon be releasing our product images directly from our distribution centre, as well as Certificates of Analysis of our products.

If your accepting BTC for orders after the ICO, then why do i need to use your ICO? is a small % discount worth the risk i think not. if i can just use my BTC. Red flag.

If Gary has 25 years in marketing how did he forget the first rule, know the competition? Euphoria is relatively new but they beat you to it, sure its not so shiny but they didnt ask for 500 BTC. Thats another red flag.

Making 100% ICO is a lazy solution to the age old volatility of a coin being backed by something. It gives you far too much room to manipulate, you do understand that the point of crypto is to get away from centralisation  another red flag.

I like your idea its aesthetically pleasing. But it should be a business kick starter and has no place here.

Also, you say about taking a cut in profits, whats the difference between what you sell and https://www.onnit.com/alphabrain/ other then they charge $34.95 and your product is £27.99 and why doesn't your site list what's in the pills?

We understand if you feel the risk is too high. It does indeed seem that the altcoin community is extremely wary of ICO scams, quite rightly too. We will be evaluating the coins model based on responses in this thread.

We are currently corresponding with Bittrex regarding the situation. The NooHack team is complicit with the laws and guidelines as outlined by the Parliament of the United Kingdom. We are in our full legal right to ship to the UK.
When we start entering international territory we accept it as our duty as NooHack to take due diligence when moving into these areas and remain within the jurisdiction of each country we ship to.

We will not take the direction of other, perhaps shady exchanges, as it opposes the direction and morel views expressed by the NooHack team.
