yes, but for every selling pressure there is also a buying pressure. Which would potentially make price go up. Evens out.

You mean for every seller there must be a buyer, that's true.
But when there are more sellers than buyers, then the price usually goes down.
Offering items through bitpay means people buy stuff from you but the merchant get's (mainly) dollars.

The Microsoft hype might offset the downward selling pressure for a time.

Bitcoin's only chance of long-term success is if it can make inroads into the wage payment layer of the economic machine.

Oh. of course don't get me wrong. Long term this is absolutely bullish!
I think the opposite is true short term though.

Unless people buy back their bitcoins right after they spend them.

I think not enough focus is on getting bitcoin into employee compensation/wages.

There is no reason for consumers to buy bitcoin to then purchase items, when they can buy the same items without the additional step.

I am not sure if they so much surrendered to it. I would say it would be more accurately be described as them embracing it.

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal yesterday that discussed how the people who use their gaming systems and the people that use bitcoin often overlap and this had something to do with them starting to accept bitcoin via bitpay

Surrender???? It's more like "testing the water" approach to them. It's the other way round. Don't forget they can decide to back out anytime if let's say they think that the integration part won't work out in their business paln or somehow they come to the conclusion that adoption to their system is not feasible. Fingers crossed that they won't come to that.

I like that. Although they do not always support Bitcoin, which is a good start.

I hate to be negative Nancy here, but unless MS and other large companies start to hold and/or pay employees in cryptos all this is will be free publicity for day traders to sucker more people in to make a buck. Cryptos needs more user adoption at this point, not company adoption.

Overstock has become to role model for this, saving 10% of all Bitcoins they receive in payments (and even reinvesting them into the crypto world). We NEED more companies/CEO's like this.

But the new haven't pushed the price up,and they just accept Bitcoin as a payment option for some products and service ,not all the Microsoft accept bitcoin.

This is massive news. A lot of my clueless friends started caring about Bitcoin when they saw they can now buy Xbox games through it.
