- if it ever has any value I will auction limited quantities (to reduce the risk of devaluation) in order to fund further (real) technical development

I always do.  I suppose the difference here is that this coin is insane but does not lie or try to hide it.  There is my more serious coin MANA which nobody seems interested in because it isn't new/insane/promise to make you rich.  This is the alternative.

I'm not sure what units you measure time in but there are 24 hours in a day here each hour is made up of 60 minutes. I hope this helps you to understand the meaning of 12 hours.

Also whilst we get close to the launch I should perhaps make a few things clear. 

Although this coin started out as kind of a holiday season joke, if people are really interested in this, and want to build a community around this then it can work. 

Indeed if the community wants even the name can be changed. 

Unfortunately I can't do any of this on my own. I need support and help. 

There is a good side to having a huge premine - i.e. it gives me lots of coins to share with those that help but I need to see that people are genuine and not looking for a quick P&D coin.

I will watch what happens tonight and in the next few days with interest.

No the blockchain has been running since yesterday.  I mined those.  The first was the premine, the other 11 coins will be given away.  It is quite common to have a variation in block time near the beginning.  In this case I was testing the wallet/mining on a number of machines.  Nobody else has been mining it because nobody else had the wallet.

Feel free.  That's the point.  A real coin is created by the community.  Unfortunately there is only one real coin right now and that is Bitcoin.  Everything else is a shitcoin until people start using it.

No.  That pool is not actually working which is why it is giving that message.  Did you not read my message which said it is solo mining only right now.

Over 15 minutes - lol - the target block time is 12 hours - it's going to take a long time for you to get 11 coins.  You don't seem to understand the concept of a premine.  Please don't mine it if you don't have a clue what you are doing.

Guys if I get enough interest in the coin I might look at getting some proper paid development work done and rebranding done on it in the new year.  I might also look at a hard fork to reduce the block times while retaining the scarce payout schedule.   I'm also considering creating a faucet to distribute a large chunk of the premine (if I can figure out how to get that working) which should help with distribution and those who are having difficulty mining.  It all depends on enough people being interested.
