Im almost done with Kryptokombat. So im trying to start another gaming project. PingPong.
Everyone knows what PONG is. So the idea is to play ping pong against other players and win the entry wager of your enemy.
Im currently playing around with the core system. If you like the idea please try it out

Playing Pong against others
multiple matches

This doesnt work:
Playing against BTC (at the moment you cant play with your coins. i dont want angry people in beta phase^^)

reporting bugs will help me a lot!

ToDo / Brainstorming from Users:
->Adding CSS switch will users allow to use custom color layouts for the game.

Good idea, good luck on this project, I'll keep an eye out for it once it launches! :)

Nice idea, but curious as to how would you ensure that the players aren't bots.
it would be very easy to win using bots.

I tried but the other player in the room was afk.. The idea is not bad! But graphics is a litte bit minimal  :)

It seems a fun for playing this game, yet me also like ping pong... ;D

i coud add a random question or a captcha which needs to be solved to enter the lobby or a match.
i dont think a bot can read the canvas (ball position) to place the stick on the right position. so a bot can only move up and down fast enought to fuck up the server or block the whole goal. thanks anyway for your information about that problem :)

Whats about the pay per match variations?
i have two ideas in my head:

Matchticket: Everytime a player won a round he will get a fix x amount of coins from his matchpartner.
Choosen by Hoster: The Matchhoster can place the ticketprice like 0.001 BTC and another player needs this amount to play with him/her
Everyone should know that this type of game is a 50/50 chance to win some coins (ok maybe not if you are a pong geek ^^)

great idea but to simple design or maybe like old games :(

maybe the new core system is something you prefer more^^
i found the perfect solution which fits to my needings.

it looks nice and clean, has multiple rooms and hidden rooms with a unique id which users can share to play with a friend. thats pretty cool.
now i will add this to my testserver to add the bitcoin payment logic.

I can test the site with opening two tabs, but how many points do I need to win a game? I have got over 50 points and it is still on-going.

EDIT: I got over 150 points now and I guess it won't end.

i will build it like an endless match. everytime you got a goal you will earn a satoshi or an editable amount of coins from your enemy as long as the wallet from your partner is cleared out by your skill^^ or he disconnects

I am okay with that.
On the other hand, could you add a few options for us to change the background color? I don't like the current green TBH.

Match ID´s now listed. Just look for an avalible match id to play. the informations about the ticket price next to this ID are just placeholders for my next progress. you will be able to set a ticket price as matchmaster. other players needs at least this amount to play with you. the winner will get it on the end of the match. i think this methode is the best for everyone. you can search for low or high ticket costs based on your wallet balance.

Looks like your running it on an old Atari ! come one its 2014 surely you can make it look a little less bland.

Getting a 500 error?

A tiny update (29.12.2014).

-> Rounds added - You are now able to edit the rounds which needs to be played to win the match.
-> Ticket price added - This amound is needed from your enemy to enter the game. the  match winner will get this amount
-> Some changings on the design
-> Alerts on: match started, errors, notifys, match ends

    (no way to sniff this informations to take over your account.)

-> Mousemove crypted 20 digits keypass: Move your mouse to generate your secret login key.

-> Session based bot prevention: You can only create an new wallet in a certain time to prevent bot flodding our wallet with junk accounts.

Is the game accepting btc now?

It's a game like Haxball and I played it a lot in the past. I believe this game  has a future if you can handle bugs&lags like Haxball.

its not like haxball at all because you can move your player only up and down here and on haxball its possible to do that in all directions

but yes pong is only 2vs2 and only vertial movement

Hey that's fun! Would love to see more classic games. It's more fun to play against someone else rather than an automated system with a house-edge.

After creating a gaming wallet, there should be a button for me to go back to the Pong game.

Also I am having terrible lag on Firefox. Am I the only one having the lag issue? Nevermind, the problem is probably on my side and it now goes away.

i will add all supported games to the wallet where you can enter the games with your login informations.

the game is really laggy for me its sometimes even hard to see where the ball is going

much easier for me to fix the performance. because local pvp is mostly free from lags.
and it sucks to wait hours for some other players at the moment^^
the server is running in germany where i came from. that could be an issue too.

Still having 500 - Internal Server Error issues...

Dont worry if the game is unavalible from time to time or it looks pretty ugly at the moment.
im porting the clientside animations from dom manipulation to html5 canvas.
hopefully this will fix a loot of performance issues because jquery DOM manipulation can not handle this speed of new data and is out of time for web based game development.
please be patient! its the first time working with html5 and canvas stuff. hoppefully i will learn enough to bring up some more bitcoin games :)
