Unfortunately, XC has veered from the path of the righteous in the past few weeks. It has remained closed-source. That's a big no-no and red flag. Instead of letting their coin demonstrate its antifragility in the crucible of an open forum, XC's PR responded to their own community's understandable FUD with angry paranoid accusations of troll/sock/etc. and retreated to a private cheerleader board. This thread is open for all to discuss XC, the Blocknet, and their associated shady ICO/ITO. It had all the transparency I would expect from a complex offering issued in the context of an unregulated environment.
Conversely, I passed on the opportunity to mine XC (or rather X11coin) at launch, as at the time it was a naked attempt to ride DarkCoin's new algo-related success. I'm glad that instead of dying down and being abandoned it was taken up by a solid dev team. However I have not invested after the fact as I believe Dan's expertise is overhyped and there's too much self-congratulatory groupthink about this and other topics within the XC community. (Though these sentiments are likely borne from early bagholders' desire to lock in their lucky windfall.) I think a forum like this will renew my attention to XC, if it remains unbiased and doesn't devolve into a fudfest.
