Point is I have always been a permabear, just like I was in the stock market, When we kept hitting a bottom and big dumps really couldn't push us much lower I knew it was a good buying time... The price of bitcoin is WILD; which makes it very profitable for the right people. But it's indeed a very bad investment if you look at the year as a whole, assuming you didn't daytrade.
