Title: ASIC Raffle III: Win a BFL Single SC & MORE! (NMC/LTC/SLC Welcome)
Post by: Luceo on June 24, 2012, 04:35:53 AM
ASIC Raffle III: Win a BitForce SC Single Mining ASIC!
(Previously known as 'BFL Jalapeno Lottery')

We raffled away a Jalapeno...
Then we raffled away a Jalapeno and some Bitcoins...

What Next?...

How about a 40 60GH/sec BFL BitForce SC Single?
And TWO 3.5 4.5GH/sec BFL SC Jalapenos for second place prize?
And a 3.5 4.5GH/sec BFL SC Jalapeno for third?
...AND cash prize alternatives?

Yes, that's right, we added ANOTHER BFL SC Jalapeno to the 2nd place prize free of charge! What other competition provider would do THAT?!

Consider it done!

And it's OVER!

Winner: thecluck (Confirmation of Payout (http://forums.microcash.org/index.php/topic/637-asic-raffle-iii-win-a-bfl-bitforce-sc-single-2nd-3rd-win-jalapenos/page__view__findpost__p__7190))
2nd Place: yonvanom (Confirmation of Payout (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=89564.280))
3rd Place: viperjbm (Confirmation of Payout (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=89564.msg1347730#msg1347730))

If you've enjoyed the raffles so far, please participate in the Christmas Raffle and help us to raise $1500 for Opportunity International (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=126922.0), and win a share of 64 BTC of prizes!

To buy tickets:
PM Luceo with the subject 'ASIC Raffle III' to enter, or contact Luceo on #bitcoin-otc (please check my identification with gribble before sending any Bitcoins - ;;ident Luceo).

Special Bulk-Order Offer I: Buy 25 tickets, get 1 free.

Alt-Coin Special: I will donate 10% of my operating margin (~2.4 BTC) to the development of the ALT-COIN (Namecoin, Solidcoin or Litecoin) which sells the most tickets, so support your alt-coin and buy in Namecoin (50 sold), Litecoin (187 sold) or Solidcoin (188 sold) today!

The Tickets & The Prizes
- There will be 1,024 tickets. Each ticket will represent a 1/1,024 chance of winning each of the three prizes.
- The winners will be determined by the block-chain to prevent any cheating on behalf of the operator. The first block timestamped after 0:00 UTC on the day after the final ticket is sold will determine the winner. NOTE: At the time that the final ticket is ADDED, there will be a post made in this thread as per previous rounds. This post shall determine the time & date of final ticket sale. This is to avoid any confusion in 'time of last sale'.
- The final three characters of the hash of the aforementioned block will determine the first place winner, who will receive a pre-order for a BFL BitForce SC Single (40GH/sec ASIC) or the BTC value thereof.
- The next three characters from the end of the hash of the aforementioned block will determine the second place winner, who will receive a pre-order for a two BFL SC Jalapenos (3.5 GH/sec ASIC) or the BTC value thereof.
- The next three characters from the end of the hash of the aforementioned block will determine the third place winner, who will receive a pre-order for a BFL SC Jalapeno (3.5 GH/sec ASIC) or the BTC value thereof.

Example
To visualise the above, I have color-coded the segments which will determine the prize winners from the hash of the most recent block (http://blockexplorer.com/block/0000000000000166c6987cfd687b0777bd6800a798db1f31b3cab74528bacf43):

0000000000000166c6987cfd687b0777bd6800a798db1f31b3cab74528bacf43

The holder of the ticket which wins on f43 would receive a BFL Single SC, the holder of the ticket which wins on bac would receive a BFL Jalapeno and the holder of the ticket which wins on 528 would receive a BFL Jalapeno.

These would be tickets 3d0, 2eb and 14a, respectively (if you don't understand this, scroll down).

Further Conditions
- Ticket sales are final. No refunds will be offered to any ticket purchasers unless the raffle is cancelled. Conditions for cancellation are as follows: No ticket sales for a period of seven (7) days OR BFL goes out of business or otherwise decides it will not ship these products. The termination period has changed from the old period of thirty days from date the raffle starts because I honestly have no idea how long it will take to sell 1024 tickets. If it looks like the raffle isn't going to happen, the operator will offer refunds at the operator's discretion.
- The operator is not affiliated or associated with BFL. If BFL fail to ship or otherwise do not perform up to standards, it will be the duty of the order holder (the winners) to deal with BFL directly. The order will be made in your name, so you will have every ability to contact them.
- Winners can either provide the operator with personal details to make the order (name, shipping address, e-mail) or make the order themselves. In the case of the latter, the Bit-Pay payment address will need to be presented in a public domain (for example #bitcoin-otc on freenode) so that payment of the invoice can be witnessed by the community. This is to prevent any dispute as to whether winnings were paid.
- The numbers 000 to fff in hex represent the numbers 0-4,096 in decimal. Therefore, each of the 1,024 tickets (0 - 3ff) will represent four of those numbers. The 'winning' numbers have been listed with the ticket numbers so as to avoid confusion.
- BFL don't ship everywhere. This is due to awkward US restrictions on shipping cryptography. If you're not sure, contact them before entering, or just take the cash prize.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's to stop you running off with our money?
The fact that I'm honest, the fact that I love this community, my prior trades, the two previously completed raffles and the simple economic fact that this competition is worth it to run it honestly.

What if the price of Bitcoin drops or rises?
I reserve the right to change the price for a ticket (this will likely only happen under extreme circumstances). All tickets prior sold will be considered final and will be honored regardless of what happens to the Bitcoin price.

Is there a ticket limit?
No, you can buy as many as you want (assuming there's that many left).

For the alt-coin development donation, how will you calculate the donation and where will you donate?
Margin will be calculated as the value of 1,024 tickets in BTC minus the amount the prizes cost. I will not attempt to calculate the value in altcoins as it will depend on the value when they are exchanged, which may be prior to the end of the raffle.
10% of this margin will be donated to a Bitcoin address chosen by coblee (if Litecoin wins), khalahan (if Namecoin wins) or RealSolid (if Solidcoin wins).
In the event of a tie (two alt-coins sell the same number of tickets), each will receive 5% of the margin.
This margin will NOT accurately represent profit, as some Bitcoins are hedged into USD, some altcoins are moved into Bitcoin or USD, etc. It's too difficult to prove an exact profit figure when dealing with six currencies. However, this will be how the donation is calculated (in practice, this will likely mean the donation value is in excess of 10% of profit).

What happens when a winner is decided?
The winner will need to claim their prize within ninety (90) days either by:
- Responding on the forum, on the username they used to win the prize;
- Messaging Luceo on IRC, idented to gribble under the username they used to win the prize.

You changed the price, now how do we work out the total intake?
260 tickets @ 0.3 BTC.
295 tickets @ 0.25 BTC.
Rest @ 0.3 BTC.

Please DO NOT risk BTC which you can't afford to lose. The raffle is supposed to be a fun and recreational activity and not a guarantee of future income.

Thanks ^^ Would be nice to have you onboard. Sooner these sell out, the higher the winner will be on BFL's order list.

Love the enthusiasm, but this just screams retarded. Selling tickets for an item you don't even own yet? Yippy, i can win a pre-order ticket....

Quote
The lottery operator is not associated with Butterfly Labs and will not take any responsibility if Butterfly Labs defaults, fails to deliver to specification or has any delays in shipping. The winner will have the order placed in his/her name and will be able to deal with BFL directly under these circumstances.

Meaning if bfl tanks after all this ends and you have your winning ticket, then your shit outta luck.

Thanks for your input but nobody owns one yet because they don't come out until October, and if I try to buy one in October, judging by BFL's shipping history (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77796.0), it won't arrive until at least January (and well after the reward halving).

Likewise, if I sell one that I pre-order to my own address (I did consider this), I will have to charge somebody for double-shipping, probably double-international-shipping and they'll have to wait an extra 3-4 days to receive the Jalapeno (which could be the difference between mining in an 18TH/s network and in a 22TH/s network). It makes more sense just to sell them a pre-order in their own name near the top of the list.

It would be a better raffle (lotteries can have no winner) if you just won 32BTC and can decide if you want to buy one. That wouldn't have the fancy name attached to the raffle to attract attention though...

If you want to run a raffle with a BTC prize, you're more than welcome to.

This competition insures the entrants against a shift in Bitcoin price, and essentially incorporates a bet on my behalf that Bitcoin will not shift in value downwards by more than ~7-8% before the end of the lottery.

The BFL prices are in USD and converted to Bitcoin at the time of purchase.

Do you round up or down?

For example 0x03 divided by 2 = ?

The last two digits of the hash will be rounded down, therefore 03 will be 1.5 rounded down to 1. 00-01 = ticket 00 wins, 02-03 = ticket 01 wins, etc.

Quote from: Luceo
In order to ensure that the operator has no ability to manipulate the event, the winning ticket will determined by the first block generated the day after the final ticket is allocated. A reply will be posted in this thread by Luceo when the ticket is allocated, and the time on that post will be accepted as the time of the last sale. The last two numbers of the block hash will be converted to decimal and divided by two, then rounded down. The winning ticket will be the one whos number corresponds to the answer (00-01 = ticket 00, 02-03 = ticket 01 etc.

We have both signed the above statement (me without the "(in IRC)" and him with danieldaniel).

Hope one of us wins... LOL.

Its a classic turkey raffle (classic con except this one is even better - the turkey doesnt exist yet).
ie you raffle $100 to a crowd of 1000 for $1 ticket each.
The numbers check out, not a turkey just a loan. OP gets to hold onto 32 btc for a while, pirate savings anyone ? :P

Quite possibly illegal in OP's country, raffles of this nature are usually state run / charity operated.

Good luck all, but for the record - be very careful trusting new users which such a large amount of BTC.
Raffles of this type are completely reliant on the honesty of a single operator.

Thanks for your input. I won't be holding onto BTC for long, the order will be made within 24 hours of the lottery closing and the winner will be given the receipt for the order which (s)he will (hopefully) verify here.

At rate of current ticket sales I'll be holding less than 32 BTC on behalf of customers for a total of less than 48 hours. As I said in the original post, though, don't do any transactions you're not comfortable with.

My entire expected profit is 32 BTC minus cost of a Jalapeno which is ~30 BTC with international shipping at the moment = around 2 BTC.

I wish you the best of luck and I sincerely hope BFL do not screw around the winner on delivery times.

Appreciate it. I also hope BFL don't screw anyone around with delivering these given the amount of capital they're going to have access to for the next 3-4 months to get these out of the door.

I doubt their time judgement. They've still got a bit of testing left to do.

Sorry if this has been asked before? So which block exactly will be chosen? The first block after 00:00 o'clock of the day after the last ticket sale in what timezone?

The final ticket has now been sold (assuming payment is received within the next hour).

The first block of Tuesday 26th June (Time Zone: UTC) will determine the winner in around 11 hours.

Thanks for playing and stay tuned, maybe another lottery soon.

Edit: Received. It's confirmed, the block after 00.00 UTC on 26th June will determine the winner, who I will announce here and contact for details to make the order with BFL.

If anyone has any suggestions for a second lottery and how to improve it, let me know.

I'm considering increasing the total intake slightly for the next one. I realised Bitcoin price shifting 10% would actually put me into an operating loss with this lottery, and it's moving more quickly than I find comfortable recently (I think it's down about 6% on 36 hours ago).

Could potentially recompensate this by doing a 2nd place draw on the second block, for the difference between the intake and the cost of the Jalapeno, less about 2.5 BTC operating fee. This way if Bitcoin remains stable or increases in value, I don't feel like I'm gouging profit or asking punters to take all the risks.

What do you guys think?

Can you do a lottery for a SC single or mini rig ?

Thanks !

Once a few Jalapeno lotteries run successfully, I'd consider doing one for an SC Single.

I wouldn't feel comfortable doing one for a minirig as I can't cover the prize if I were to somehow lose the BTC. It's also a big jump from asking the community to trust me with 30 BTC to 250 or 5000.

If a person wins, can they get a PM saying they've won.How will the person know they've won after the blockchain has chosen the winner? As the blockchain doesn't say it in plain english (it's just a bunch of numbers).

The winner will get a PM (or IRC query if it's one of the IRC buyers) to say they've won.

I'm very much hoping the winner will post back here with their order number. ^^

The way I see it. Anyone else confirm?

Last 2 digits of block hash: 0000000000000967ec9d11abade90e6bb918bf0bde683c2187e13017b616d829
29 Converted to decimal =  41    http://www.binaryhexconverter.com/hex-to-decimal-converter
Divide by 2  = 20.5 and round down if necessary. = 20

And the Winner is:. 20. graet

I'm guess this rule wasn't updated, but I'm guessing it's static to 1 month since the start of each round.

The original raffle was a much better/faster sell.  You may want to go back to that model after this one.

It'll certainly be considered. I think it was also faster because it was higher up the BFL order list. There was a huge incentive to buy fast so that the winner got a good order number.

You should consider setting a deadline, and if all tickets aren't sold by then, refund the tickets or something.
I don't think ticket-holders will mind, as the price of BTC has risen since the raffle opened.

It does seem better to run raffles with fewer tickets for some reason, even if the tickets cost more.

I can't reduce the prize once the raffle has started... that would be against my own terms & conditions.

Everyone feel free to advertise the raffle, that helped last time having PR from other people.

The rally isn't helping, I think when the price of Bitcoin stabilises we'll be fine.

A refund would be an absolute last resort. It'd be a nightmare to process.

Title: Re: ASIC Raffle III: Win a BFL Single SC & MORE! (NMC/LTC Welcome)

When is the raffle going to end?

As per previous raffles, the draw will take place the day after the last ticket is sold.

Quote from: OP
- There will be 1,024 tickets. Each ticket will represent a 1/1,024 chance of winning each of the three prizes.
- The winners will be determined by the block-chain to prevent any cheating on behalf of the operator. The first block timestamped after 0:00 UTC on the day after the final ticket is sold will determine the winner. NOTE: At the time that the final ticket is ADDED, there will be a post made in this thread as per previous rounds. This post shall determine the time & date of final ticket sale. This is to avoid any confusion in 'time of last sale'.

About 1/4 sold. Just sold another 17 pending payment.

Well, about 70 sold in the last 5 days so yeah, quite possibly. Not sure if that would be a terrible thing, the ASICs will still be the best mining devices you can get then too.

Prices updated to reflect the rally from $6.50 to $8.50.

I said I'd only change them in extreme circumstances and this seems fairly extreme.

2 days isn't a rally, it's a bubble. :P

Reducing ticket prices further would be a huge risk and a massive bet against Bitcoin price collapsing.

I've already made that mistake with Solidcoi (price there is just frightening). I'm not going to make it again.

Since there is a big gap between Bitcoin exchange rate and the ticket prices, you could maybe purchase an option to sell the coins at the current BTC/USD exchange rate and reflect the price of the option to the ticket price and still reduce it. Do I make sense?

TOP5 gamblers:
Cluck - 135
Graet - 105
viperjbm - 26
Serp - 20
DiCE1904 - 17

I don't have time to check if his numbers are right, but I can confirm the order is.

true so far. drawback is the 1th devices big miners will have sitting in the basement which are much more cost effective... still a good thing, imho.

2 1/2 months is the age of the thread, not the 3rd raffle. The 1st and 2nd were run in this thread too.

Think the third raffle started in mid July, 2-3 days after the second ended. Still been going on a while but I guess that's normal when dealing with >$1000 transactions (I had expected it to be faster, but I didn't expect the Bitcoin rate to go from $8 to $12 to $15 to $7 back to $10).

Anyway, few more tickets up, slow sales partially because I've been away and not advertizing (sorry), keep 'em coming.

Great! so I have more time to save BTC for at least 3 jalapenos :)

I think, based on price and MH/s of jalapenos, that every jalapeno will be equal to 1 GPU. So if right now I'm mining with 2 GPUs at 350MH/s with 2 jalapenos at 3.5GH/s I'm going to produce the same BTC in the same time, so the ASIC is a 10x multiplication for the GPUs

Do this make sense for you?

You can technically win all 3 with 1 ticket. A hash could end with 555555555 or 554557556, either of these would win all three with ticket 155 (example only).

12 more tickets up so more than 40 sold within the last 24 hours!

I'm guessing it was assumed that this thing would never go on so long.

Have you considered figuring out some fair way to end early or potentially offering additional prizes?

not if he converted BTC to USD to hedge in case BTC price went down.

managing all these payments is a lot of hassle

Were you here for the price change? a ticket used to be 0.25BTC

a service that needs more love is this:

check out the filenames.
this could've been an easy way to always have the right price for one ticket, in case the extimated price + shipping is about 1400 USD, each ticket could've cost http://btcticker.appspot.com/mtgox/1.36usd.png.

There have been a number of hedges into USD along the way, and a number of tickets were given away in specials (buy 100 get 5 free, buy 25 get 1 free, get one for renting a VPS) so I haven't taken anywhere close to enough to cover the raffle prizes.

Additionally as stated a number of tickets were sold at 0.25 BTC rather than 0.3 BTC.

The raffle cannot end before 1024 tickets are sold. The draw relies on this because of the way it works, the terms and conditions all purchasers agreed to and accepted state this. There will be no early end, no change to the prizes, no modifying the agreement we entered.

Like your idea 2weiX to stabilize pricing but the problem is I'd have to be able to convert those BTC into USD at the time of sale rather than at the time I choose, this would require either some time-intensive programming to use a bot to do so, or for me to have staff awake 24/7.

Total value of the raffle is ~$1390 for the single plus ~$180 x 2 for the Jalapenos, plus a margin, so that's $1750 plus margin required intake. I would have to add a greater margin to allow for USD fluctuation, so let's say 5% for that is $1837.50, with my margin of ~7% on top of this, would be around $2,000.

1,024 tickets for $2000 is ~$2 per ticket. If you consider that the raffle opened at $6 per BTC, the original pricing was quite a bit better than this (was more like $1.75). Right now, the tickets are more expensive. Will there be another price drop? Possibly, if the market deems that the current rate is too high and the price remains stable above $10 (worried about the medium term effects of pirate default).

Neither of these are feasible on a couple of hundred dollar margin over 2 months.

The raffle is going strong, have sold over 50 tickets in 48 hours. Keep the orders coming and thanks for the support.

So... who gets all the extra money then? A raffle seems like a great idea if you hedge on bitcoin intrinsically increasing in value. Suddenly your modest percentage becomes something much more.. I was tempted in purchasing tickets, but the lack of transparency here makes me lose interest.

There is no extra money, only what people willingly spent on tickets (in their judgement, at the time of purchase, the ticket was worth what they paid for it). Some of this has been converted to USD as a hedge (mostly around $8 and again around $10), some is still sitting in the wallet hoping it increases further.

I'm not a clairvoyant, I don't know if Bitcoin will always increase in value. I know, in fact, that it has a tendency to bounce around, we've seen $7 and $15 both within the past month; we've seen $30 and $2 in little over a year, that's hardly a sure bet on value increasing.

If I'd started a raffle in July 2011 and it ran through to September, we'd all be talking about how the Bitcoin had dropped from $30 to around $10, and how my tickets which started off at $1.80 had only netted me enough BTC for $0.60 had I not converted them to USD.

I don't feel that there is a lack of transparency. The first post gives you everything you need to do the math. If I were trying to hide something, I probably wouldn't put the number of tickets sold, the price of all the prizes, the value at which each ticket was sold etc. on the front page.

If you don't feel that a ticket is worth 0.3 BTC, I suggest you don't buy one at 0.3 BTC. Many people do believe it is worth it, and have bought them.

Sorry I wasn't trying to cause trouble, I had just felt that the listed margin was a bit misleading since it could significantly increase as the value of bitcoin has been increasing steadily from when the auction was started. In the end that margin doesn't really matter since it is a raffle and whatever percentage you take home doesn't matter so long as the prizes are distributed accordingly.

I also didn't mean any personal offense to you Luceo as I recognize you are a well known and well respected member of the community.

I do agree that the listed margin is awkward. It's very hard to state a margin when dealing in USD on one end and BTC at the other, and USD:BTC had been in that $5-6 range for long enough that I felt comfortable that it would stay there, I was wrong and I won't try to second guess margins this way if we do another one.

No offense taken, criticism is the only way in which we learn and improve.

Moar ASIC! BFL or that other one I saw that does 27. I think you can sell anything like this. Especially high-dollar items that people might not otherwise be able to afford. Houses, cars.... Anything. Once you have more reputation you can step it up. And get that conversion rate auto-tracker going. That is the most objectionable art at this time; the time it takes to sell all these tickets and the #TC fluctuations.

Hope you got my BTC. Sorry it took 4 days for my blockchain to update. Silly thing...

I think it might help you to NOT repeat using the same thread. It is confusing and makes people say "WTF? it too THAT long?" whent hey look at the wrong date, not realizing there are 3 raffles here.... Probably making people turn away before they figure out what's really happening. People are stupid and lazy like that.

I'm pretty sure I have to use the same thread: One thread per site only (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39621.0).

The start date was mid July 2012 so we've been going around 2 months., the sales were really slow during the climb to $15 and then slowed down again during the Pirate default fallout, they've been getting back to normal recently.

It has been a long raffle, but I think that's pretty normal for such a high value competition.

Also, few more sold. Keep 'em coming!

In the case of the latter, the Bit-Pay payment address will need to be presented in a public domain (for example #bitcoin-otc on freenode) so that payment of the invoice can be witnessed by the community. This is to prevent any dispute as to whether winnings were paid.

I'd like 10 more tickets. Willing to show BTC address publicly. Is a multi-use address, not showing.

Raffles work very specfically, If he alters a "buy xyz get 1 free" he could Compleatly destroy any profit he mave have.

On that note... Is the # of sold tickets ever going to get above 791?

Pretty sure he's already done some special offers like that, but I don't know how that would affect profit.

The numbers will go up as soon as he adds the 3 I just asked for and tells me where to send my btc. :)

Profit is really hard to calculate on a raffle like this.

On the one hand BTC price has gone up dramatically.

On the other hand I took 200 ticket sales for SC which has dropped 80%, and I hedged BTC into USD at the wrong time.

My total profit looks like it'll end up being about $300, which is more than I bargained for but less than it would be if I sold all the tickets today at the current price.

yes to your question if you didn't figure it out yet :)

It was rhetorical, already did the math... Just kinda putting it out there.

Folks waiting to buy tickets until testing of ASICs would miss out entirely because the raffle would be a bust by then.

13 days to block 210000. Testing is 20 days away if it doesn't get delayed.

I don't know why people are so apprehensive about it. The network adjusts for CPU power... ASIC isn't going to flood the blockchain with 25BTC blocks. Unlike LTC, this is intended to ensure the network has far more computing power than any attacker could muster... ASIC won't affect supply, the 210000 will, and nothing else.

I don't think the raffle would "be a bust" at any point this year or next... Hardware won is hardware. Earlier is better, but later is still a win.

The tickets have to be sold before the deciding block pops out.

I think it will be hard to keep running it after the blockchain declares the winning numbers....

Kinda like playing the lottery if the wining numbers were announced in advance.... Probably won't work out....

I think some people are misunderstanding the deciding block. It's not any specific block so it can't happen before the raffle is over, the deciding block is the first block after 0:00 UTC the day after the final ticket is sold.

Just sold 112 tickets. :)

Getting close !!!

According to BFL (if we may believe them) they will be able to catchup quickly on their backlog, so even ordered today the winner might not get their ASIC much later than the ppl that pre-ordered in July ;)

ALL tickets sold!
Only 0.3 BTC / 100.0 NMC / 80.0 LTC / 500.0 SLC each...

- Responding on the forum, on the username they used to win the prize;

Well that was a fast block (http://blockchain.info/block-index/319929/000000000000039cb19a4bd8782affe00ab14331bb472113ceb5a9818fec4ec2).

Hash: 000000000000039cb19a4bd8782affe00ab14331bb472113ceb5a9818fec4ec2

ec2 wins a BFL SC Single: 3b0 (ec0 - ec3). cluck (MC)
ec4 wins two BFL SC Jalapenos: 3b1 (ec4 - ec7). yonvanom
18f wins a BFL SC Jalapeno: 063 (18c - 18f). viperjbm (MC)

The total intake (using simplistic calculation method) was:

295 * 0.25 = 73.75 BTC
729 * 0.3 = 218.7 BTC

Total = 295.45 BTC

Expected costs (approximated for simplicity using $11.25 exchange rate to account for fees etc) are:

Single SC = $1299 = 115.47 BTC
3x Jalapeno SC = $450 = 40.0 BTC
Shipping = $150 = 13.33 BTC

Total = 168.8 BTC

Margin = 126.65 BTC

A donation of 12.665 BTC has been made (http://blockchain.info/tx-index/33761179/ce1e8607c0f1cd61c4f9ee0405497a1eb27db2c97ddad746f69d85f568d4e937) to Solidcoin development.

Note: This is NOT my real margin. I took 200 ticket sales in Solidcoin which has dropped in value by 90% so that's 60 BTC down right there, in addition I put in a large hedge at 1 BTC = $10. For the sake of transparency I made about 48 BTC on this raffle.

I've got a charity raffle up for the Christmas period, to try to raise around $1500 to create business opportunities for the world's poorest people through Opportunity International. 64 BTC of prizes so you'll have a 50% return and due to the UK government's aid match scheme and partner tenakha being in the UK, 100% of the amount you spend will end up in the hands of those who need it most.
