Never, ever download stuff you don't trust. And especially not if it is send to you in an strange e-mail.

With some bad luck, they can take over your cryptocurrency. You won't be the first person who lost his bitcoins by stepping in a trap of scammers.

For me this is "Phishing".

If you have BTC-E account you can log-in and check balance :P

I HIGHLY recommend to do NOT use link from this message.

This is 100%/99.9% a scammy phishing. Stay away. And be aware of phishing. Don't believe that money came from heaven to you.

I went to that link, and my AV stopped the virus. It's obviously a scam.

What to do with this if anything ?

 It's a file called: [5019-169396]-[Bitcoin -wallet-Balance].zip
which contains a Trojan payload.  If you were to run the file, someone else would have access to your computer and you would in all likelihood lose any cryptocurrency currently in your possession.

You should

1) delete the e-mail and
2) immediately edit your post to remove that link as anyone in this forum clicking on it will download the trojan.  You are proliferating that malware by posting a link to it.

Anyone else who quoted the link should also edit it from their post.

Does even viewing these emails pose some kind of a risk?
Just viewing an e-mail (text) is secure.
Clicking on any link which is included in those kinds of e-mails is dangerous.
Also if any file like an image is attached viewing attached file might be also dangerous.
