Title: Hello everyone!!
Post by: crodbtc on December 18, 2014, 08:11:41 AM
hey everyone I would like to introduce myself to the forum.. I didn't find any introductory sub forums so I figured I would put it in the beginner section as I think it's most appropriate!

Anywho my knowledge is on the low end of BTC but I do know the basics about it... Why I started this thread is because I had purchased a Crypto currency bot that would buy/sell orders as you seem fit... I purchased it locally from someone that was providing the class. The bot is the C.A.T. program that the member sampey on this forums provides!

so I did the class but the person didn't break down the steps of how to use the thing so pretty much I ended up buying a couple of BTC's that were supposed to be used for the bot but since I have no experience with the program im kind of stuck here sitting on the coins... so my question to anyone who can help is.. What can I used these coins for? I don't want to exchange the for USD because im pretty nervous about those localbtc.com vendors and meeting 1on1 to swap it..

I wanted to know i can somehow invest these coins into a company to in turn bring me a higher amount in the future? how does selling and buying work on localbtc? i see that the price is around $310 as of this post but some vendors are charging upwards of 340+ why is it more expensive? well hopefully there are options for me out there on what i could use them than just letting them sit there.. hoping to reading suggestions from this forum! Thanks!  ;D

or you want to invest btc to company?
- you can try this one: https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,404.0.html

You can gamble with it, although it comes with a bit of risk but so does all sort of investments. You can even invest in Gambling sites but I suggest you do your homework about the owner and the company prior to investing anything.

There are multiple bots if you really have to use it for that.

You could just hold them since already bought.   Or there is buying other coins speculating and holding them.

You can invest your BTC in mining company, and then receive your profit. Also you can gamble it, it will give you very fast profit, if you know how to win.  ;D

How do you "know how to win"?  I think long term you will always lose gambling in BTC house always has the edge.

If you don't want to trade, don't want to gamble on dice or a casino, or do cloud mining, another option is Bitcoin poker:

https://sealswithclubs.eu/

Game of skill at least if you're a good poker player, but hopefully there isn't poker bots playing.

Either way you go, there's risk involved, so tread carefully and good luck!

betting means risk , so you must be betting only if you have enough to loose :)

Yeah, just don't over do it. Don't get greedy and if you're looking for betting strategies I suggest you to stay  away from martingale.

I love playing Chess myself but as you can already see on sites like chess.com, people use engines to win games which are not worth anything and now think about how about hard they will go to win Bitcoin based chess games. Which is why you won't find too many people who would like playing chess on-line* for BTC.

You should learn how bitcoin works then learn about how to trade bitcoin
you can try looking some exchanger such as poloniex or bittrex

so I did the class but the person didn't break down the steps of how to use the thing so pretty much I ended up buying a couple of BTC's that were supposed to be used for the bot but since I have no experience with the program im kind of stuck here sitting on the coins... so my question to anyone who can help is.. Try to find some trusted exchanger

If you don't mind doing a identity verification, you can register an account on a bitcoin exchange to sell your bitcoin without going through localbitcoins.
Depending on your location, you may choose from those big exchanges like Coinbase, Bitstamp, BTC-e, etc.

I was thinking something similar today: I'd like to play nintendo classics like tetris or dr mario and be in a competition to win some BTC. don't know how really but would be fun.

Welcome :)

You can invest in Bitfinex swaps, they pay a steady interest rate and is almost risk free.
