Title: Crossovers in Gox order engine
Post by: BitPay Business Solutions on June 26, 2012, 06:01:16 AM
I’m seeing some orders cross over in the Mt Gox book, which should not be happening.

I’ve had a sell order sitting at 6.44999 for a few hours now.  It’s been nibbled on.  I actually went to bed, when I got an alert that the price hit 6.45.

I woke up to find my order still largely open.

Trades are going off and orders above me are getting filled at 6.4514, while my order at 6.44999 is not getting filled.  That should not be happening.  the order above me was filled for about 5 BTC.

Any idea what is causing this?

Hi,

Most likely orders executing in other currencies at higher price because of the exchange rate.

You could check the "mixed_currency" flag on the trades to confirm.

the 6.4514 trade is not mine, so that doesn't appear in my history anywhere.  where can I see the flag you mentioned?  I'm trading through your website interface.

I've never done a mixed currency trade on your system so I'm not sure what that means.  but if a buy order comes in, it should match to the lowest ask in the order book, no?

Thanks Mark, I'll keep an eye on it.  It's a small amount so its not worth messing with.
