If there's some radical change of price at exchanges news about it is usually spread through media immediately anyway. Similar to me. I mainly check once a day mostly and then look at alt prices. Seems there are few reliable exchanges now, which really sucks. First, it was coinmarket.io, then it was mcx and vircurex and then mintpal and bter. Mintpal was already problematic when they had their first couple million dollars lost. Mind you that I am not unlocking my phone explicitly for the purpose of checking the exchange rate; I only see the price as an auxiliary part of living in the digital age.
