Title: S. Korea Bitcoin Translation. Is there one?
Post by: jimbobway on May 19, 2011, 11:23:50 PM
S. Korea has a massive gaming and Internet base.  But, there are no bitcoin nodes there.  Zilch.  Do we have a Korean translation?

In general, we got no Asian penetration.

The whole bitcoin economy is a wholly a western centered world.

There is some China and Japan nodes.  MtGox is run from Japan.  I am just surprised there are no Koreans since they have the best broadband, gaming, and Internet services.  Any Koreans here?

My friends already translated the weusecoins video into Korean and Japanese.
The subtitles are here:http://www.weusecoins.com/materials.php (http://www.weusecoins.com/materials.php)

Can someone convert the video with the subtitles into a file and upload it to youtube?
I think it would be useful to have the video on youtube with the subtitles hard coded in.

I had someone lined up to translate the Bitcoin.org site into Korean, but it was right around the time that a bunch of discussion about changing the site same along and I didn't want to pay to have something translated just to have the site get changed a bunch and need to do it over again. Still kind of waiting to see if the .org site design is final before I move ahead.

There is at least one node here. I'm not a translator, though.
