Hmm, just logged into Coinbase to see if I get the same error.  No issues on my end.

After 2FA, takes me straight to "My Wallet".  Maybe clear cookies and internet files, close browser, and try logging in again?

Really? So I cleared my browser cache, DNS cache etc. and tried it again (also with IE10):

Yea, sorry bud, it looks like it's local to your side(either PC or provider).

Just logged in again to double check if it was system wide:

I'd try a totally different location on a totally different machine, not your regular PC and mobile to see if you can login.

I also assumed that it's because of my ISP...but then I would actually get an error of Firefox etc. - I can access the main page of Coinbase and I also see the login form but when trying to login I get this error. Curious.

Yeah its fine here, working fine no issues and error

That's ridiculous.

I created a second Coinbase account now and could access the user panel. Hoping that the support will solve my issue fast so that I can access my funds soon.

Don't need to create second account. Their service is available at the home page contact them and tell them your problem. I think you have problem in your internet connection, or cache problem. Please clean all the cache and history then try it again.

Try to login on another PC, maybe your PC or device too dirty and check again your connection, IP, ect.
I ever have trouble like that but in different website, when everyone haven't trouble with login, but i have. And i try to use another PC, clean my PC and use another connection, i haven't trouble after that.
But if you have 2FA, maybe you must backup your 2FA first.

Have  you tried from another physical location not tied to the same IP address?

If it's across all devices, maybe it's ISP related.

It must be account related. I also tried it with another ISP (mobile network) and it still doesn't work and as I said I can access with another account but not with my main account...curious.

Yes.  Looks like it's related to your primary account on Coinbase, not a Coinbase systemic issue.

Try emailing support https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/emails/new from your secondary account and provide all the details.  They usually respond within the same day.

Thank you for the site, but I've already wrote them and think I'm not going to get a reply before Christmas...I assume long delays now when I have to access my funds. Not cool.

That is why u need to own your private keys, so that the institution can not lock u. Using bitcoin and depending on an institution to access fund is ridiculous.

Dude, I had approximately Bitcoins worth of 20$ there...not a large amount. I would never trust them with large amounts...
