BritCoin was launched with true British ethics and values in mind.  Values such as honesty, integrity, accountability and innovation.  This crypto currency can be used and traded by anyone around the world (Johnny Foreigners welcome) and is not restricted to just British users, but our long term goal is to become the leading digital currency within the United Kingdom for individuals and commerce.

We are using the 1% premine (wallet address is public) will be going towards costs associated with developing new features and promotion/marketing.  We have plans to develop payment gateways for online retailers and creation of a bespoke platform for British users to buy BritCoins directly via instant bank transfer.  All of which will cost investment, which is why we require the 1% premine.  Everyone involved with BritCoin is in this for the long haul, this is not in any way another ‘pump and dump’ coin that seems to be rampant in the crypto world right now.  We are 100% committed to making this coin viable for the British general population and commerce, this is what you should expect from BritCoin and we will do our best to deliver.

We have released a July white-paper (link below) which goes into full detail our plans to grow BritCoin in the coming weeks and months.  We will be publishing a monthly white-paper with updates on our progress and futures developments and marketing plans.

In light of the recent VRC - MintPal fiasco, we can assure BritCoin adopters that there is no possibility of us compromising the sanctity of the blockchain and have a strict view on bailing out exchanges.  We believe this creates a dangerous precedent for the future of crypto currency and we firmly stand against the the notion of blockchain rollbacks.

Who are the staff behind BritCoin?

have any skills that would benefit BritCoin! Thanks.

What do you mean? I am not launching a coin here. I am merely trying to take some initiative in keeping this one alive and/or providing a place to discuss what to do next.

In the meantime, do we have any proof the buyers are real? Who are they and why haven't they said anything? Surely the new developers would want to announce themselves?

I thought he would of replied by now, I guess he does not care about the people who invested money in Brit.

So what would we need for the community to take over? All he sold was his web site, the Twitter account and Facebook account, he does not own the network, the investors do.

We would need a coder to take the helm.

I ended up here doing some research on this William guy.   He's been pretty active over in the Sterlingcoin forum so he is still around.  I'd consider this coin dead.  Community take over would be the only option and if you can get access to the github.

I have no idea how to run a community. We need to find a dev as a community and not just push all the work onto one person. Everyone involved with Britcoin needs to help.

Does your coin need a multipool?

Getting a multipool for your coin will create buy pressure on exchanges.
And it will allow people with mining power to get more coins for their hashrate.

If you are interested, then take a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=932225.0

Have a nice day!

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on February 13th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2

Market volume is 1 BTC. People keep saving the coin.

Looks like it's been delisted from Bittrex  :-[

Looks like the new Dev procrastinated way too long.

Look how Aurora made a come back.

Shame, looks like it's finally dead, RIP Brit. :'(

Does the Dev even exist? Or is William the "dev" trying to make money off of us?

It's not dead, it's just we have a bigger battle to get it back on Bittrex now.

ProGamer, please put 'Britcoin' in the title of this thread.  I spent ages searching for this thread the other day trying to find it.  Also found another thread opened by someone else wondering what had happened to Britcoin.

I don't think will7am would do that.

If you check twitter, the new dev made some more posts on there.

This has to be the longest take over in all of crypto history, will7am quit in December last year. FFS!
