Title: SatoshiDice Issue Post by: unk1911 on June 28, 2012, 12:46:39 AM i have noticed something off regarding SatoshiDice a couple fo days. on june 25th, 2012, it appears they made some modifications to the system and it appears that if i add up all of the bets that i have sent to the following address: 1dice7fUkz5h4z2wPc1wLMPWgB5mDwKDx
that the payout odds coming back, were on average 1:7.91. however, if you look on the main page, the advertised payout is 24.4141%: lessthan 16000 1dice7fUkz5h4z2wPc1wLMPWgB5mDwKDx 24.4141% 3.958x 3.000% 97.000% 0.0010 5.0000 something seems to be broken and i am kind of disappointed (mostly in myself), because it took approx 100 BTC of losses for me to realize that something was seriously wrong here. when i actually sat down and counted up the # of wins vs # of losses (regardless of the bet amount), i saw that 1:7.91 ratio, instead of the expected 1:4 ratio... Title: Re: SatoshiDice Issue Post by: unk1911 on June 28, 2012, 02:46:13 AM because prior to june 25th, i was up about the same, so i was playing with this thing for quite some time... i agree that it shouldn't have taken me this long that something was broken. i hope they can reverse out all the transactions since this occurred.
Title: Re: SatoshiDice Issue Post by: Jake on June 28, 2012, 02:52:08 AM If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Satoshi dice run with bet's? So your 100BTC is with a ton of other people right now?
Title: Re: SatoshiDice Issue Post by: unk1911 on June 28, 2012, 03:19:30 AM when i get a chance i will try to do some analysis on my tx's against "dice 4x" address = 1dice7fUkz5h4z2wPc1wLMPWgB5mDwKDx
if there's a clear pattern for ALL of the bets and it shows 1:8 i will then like to analyze every bet sent to 1dice7fUkz5h4z2wPc1wLMPWgB5mDwKDx and every reply it sent back since 25-jun. if there's a larger pattern showing 1:8 (instead of 1:4), then i think everyone deserves to know this and get reimbursed, it only sounds fair, no? |
