hi there, i'm new. i want to know how to earn bitcoin??

You have many way to earn bitcoin. Here there are some example that you can adopt for earn in good way:

1) I see that you're new, so, you can try to earn something with faucet. See qoinpro.com, or freebitco.in.
2) There are many signature campaign for newbies in this forum, sign in some of that and earn !
3) If you have some money, invest in something, or invest in bitcoin and then HODL for better time to sell  :D

If you want to earn bitcoin, you'll have to work for it - whether you run through 100 faucets every hour, or post in signature campaigns (I also hope to reach that point).
If you want to get bitcoin - the cheapest may be to buy (!). But if you are around, you may find giveaways, puzzles or such, but they are not many and I was too late to see most of them.
If you want to mine bitcoin - you need special hardware for that.

Did I cover all the cases?

this question seems to get asked every week.

Answer: same way you'd earn any other currency. 
provide good or service someone else wants.

That seems to be the most practical answer.

Years ago, when I first started looking into bitcoin, I heard about BitcoinFaucet.com, which would give away bitcoins.  (Now that domain get's redirected.)  Excellent!  I thought.  But there were NEVER any bitcoins their to be had. 

As I thought about it, it made perfect sense.  Even back then when the exchange rate was tiny, bitcoin was and is money.   Someone would only give it away as a promotional thing, and not very much at that.  As with all handouts, there are always more people with their hands out than money available to be given.

The only plausible way I've found for an American citizen to acquire bitcoin is to open an account at coinbase (https://www.coinbase.com/) and buy with dollars transferred via ACH from a conventional bank account.

Here are some my suggestions

Try out Faucets (Not recommended personally ;))
Become Hero member in this Forum and Earn more than 100$ a month from sig campaigns.
Take Part in free giveaways  ;D

It will be easier if you tell us more about yourself and your skills, if you take a look at marketplace you'll see people offering their services, goods etc. And you can do the same. Otherwise you can invest and buy a little bitcoin and either trade or gamble. GL

Learn a skill, graphic design or a language to become a translator.
You could also try to become a personal assistant or help out website's support desks.

Faucets (you can get few satoshi from faucets, thats not too much but its just starting)
Altcoin trading(you can find some coin altcoin giveaway or join bounties and trade them for bitcoins)

or you can sell some kind of services like SEO,designing,coding,writing or other freelancing services

Sites like bitcoinget.com let you earn through various ways, such as doing online tasks, completing surveys, and watching videos.

If you have a service to offer, programming, web design, graphic design, proof reading, article writing..

You can make a lot of BTC.

You can check out service section of this forum, apply for a signature campaign and make posts as usual, you will earn some coins, it's not much but much better than earning from faucets

Use free faucets to earn micro btc just for tecnology understanding also you can use this forum signatures like mine below

I personally 'earn' bitcoin doing sig campaigns and checking giveaways. This is just a hobby and certainly not a get rich quick scheme

Signature is the best option here... but you are newbie so you can do some faucets... but anyway that question is like: How to earn money? in google there are some methods..

Trade those coins for bitcoin on cryptsy or bittrex

It will help if you can list your skills. There are jobs and bounties here from graphics designing to code development, social networking and such.

i try faucet and spend my time alot but no much bitcoin im earn from faucet.

there's lots of btc promotion ongoing in this forum if you look ull surelyy get a few bits.

Sell your goods and services for bitcoin.
Join a signature campaign to earn bitcoin for posting.
Get a work that pays you bitcoin directly.
Earn fiat money to buy bitcoin.

Don't waste your time on faucet. You will only be getting a few cents on average after entering captcha for an hour.

You can earn bitcoin in many way, usually newbies starts to earn thanks to the faucet. Another way to earn a good quantity of bitcoin is to join in a signature campaign which pays you some rate, or, if you're expert, you can try to trade on the market BTC/USD (Like BTC-e, BitStamp).

Mining/buying/signature programs/faucets/doing tasks for bitcoin...look into services subforum and you will see few options yourself.

For newbie the best way is buy.

Rank up or buy account to join in Signature campaign. It's one of easy ways to earn significant amount of Bitcoin.

0.1 isn't that significant and you need over 0.4 to buy an account :o

0.1 is enough for 2 members. Probably for a full member too.

The times when people paid 0.4 for a senior are gone since PD closed

I wouldn't suggest you to buy an account, as things could go wrong in many different way. For example the account could be spamming badly and is close to getting banned. The account could be hacked and the real owner could come after you after the trade, etc.

he is just a newbie, most of signature campaign ask a high level activity.

I think signature campaign is the easiest way.
But if you have blog or website you can use advertisment who pay you in bitcoin on your blog or website.
If you wanna know how to earn bitcoin just think how to earn money.

Try brawker - you can fulfil other people's orders with fiat currency and receive payment in btc.

People still do pay .4+ for a senior account, as you can make a good amount of money with relatively little effort.

Signature advertising is probably the best way for someone to earn BTC while getting involved in the community and learning about bitcoin.

I can't add much more to what others have said.
But one thing I learnt is very important is to have patience :)
Don't expect to make unreasonable amounts of money straight away.
When i first started I had the idea i would become insta-rich :P

both aren't recommended, faucets give you a very low earning so they are just a waste of time, while mining will cost you more to buy mining hardwares than your earning from that.

Trade BTC on exchanges with leverage start with a small amount and carry on BUT do your homework and learn to trade for a month or 2 before starting. Goodluck

Try get connect with signature campain, They are good and paying high BTC amount to everyone, depends on your post you did in 1 month or week.

They're not worth your time.

If you have an initial investment, you can learn to trade and make some off of that.

If you have services you can sell, it might help.

The sig campaigns, as others mentioned, are okay.

I think you have to go for mining and earn btc from Sig campaign s. Best of luck

Sell random stuff for Bitcoin. Simultaneously increase your Bitcointalk activity till you can join a signature campaign.

You can offer your services like programming, webdesign, content creation for bitcoins, signature compaigns are also good. There are some ptc sites like coinad but slow earnings.
Tremorgames giving bitcoins for playing games and completing offers.

I agree, faucets aren't really worth your time without a lot of referrals. :(

Other people usually look for writers or programming-related jobs. :D

You can buy bitcoins or if you have bitcoins you can invest them in a bitcoin site and earn interests. Or as previously stated you can sell goods or services in the marketplace section.
