Hi everyone,

I've been tinkering with the idea for a collective bounty creation site and was wondering if you could give me some feedback.

The idea is basically to allow many people to easily contribute funds to the same bounty.  Right now bounty creation and funding seems very unorganized and haphazard and this would allow things to get done in a bit more cohesive manner.

As an easy example, there seems to be a decent amount of interest in getting a vanity pool miner running: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84569.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84569.0)

Right now it's mentioned in that thread that ThePiachu would like to create a bounty for a miner to be made whenever he gets some funds to put towards it.  But what if instead, anyone of the other people expressing interest in that thread could easily chip in?

Pretty simple, but that's it in a nutshell, what do you think?

I just wonder what the wiki is aiming to be. A replacement for the bitcoin wiki ?

Not at all. The wiki is simply a platform for organizing and displaying bounties. I do need to work on honing the message on the front page.

The wiki isn't meant to be an information repository in the way that the bitcoin wiki is. The pages here are meant to focus around getting things done. Each page should describe a task someone wants to see done. Part of the choice of a wiki is that it allows multiple people to collaborate on honing in on what actually needs to be done for a certain task.
