Title: [ANN] TBDice.org BTC/LTC solo pool Technobit DICE 2 BTC blocks solved
Post by: marto74 on December 28, 2014, 08:53:06 AM
Welcome to tbdice.org!

0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining pool based on ckpool form Technobit

No registration required, no payment schemes no pool op wallets

28-Feb-2015
Testnet pool available
testnet.tbdice.org

We'd like to give special thanks to:

Con Kolivas - Core project lead, maintainer, author of ckpool and libckpool (https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool).
Andrew Smith - Maintainer and author of ckdb (https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool ). tbdice.org is not using ckdb yet.
Luke Dash Jr and his crew. The "live pool stats idea + some js" were adopted form http://eligius.st/~gateway/.

Configuration:
Just point your miner to: stratum+tcp://tbdice.org:3333 or stratum+tcp://tbdice.org:3334
Set your username to your "version zero" (beginning with a '1' character) btcaddress with any or even no worker extension, and any password.
eg: cgminer -o stratum+tcp://tbdice.org:3333 -u 1BUiW44WuJ2jiJgXiyxJVFMN8bc1GLdXRk.0 -p x
If you enter an invalid address it will be ignored and earnings will be donated to the pool. The warning message will be printed every 30 secs or so in cgminer output screen
Suitable for:
TBDice owners
Large mining farms
Regular miners struggling to recoup costs who wish to take extra risk for greater reward potential for part or all of their hashrate
The last backup for all miners who don't have a solo setup or wish to avoid the overheads of running one
Miners with old/inefficient miners that will never earn any rewards through regular mining that wish to leave it mining as a lottery
Statistics:
tbdice.org currently only displays minimal per user and worker information.
To access this, enter your BTC address at the end of: http://tbdice.org/users/
and your workername at the end of: http://tbdice.org/workers/
Advantages over regular solo mining:
Mining at tbdice.org avoids the overheads of running a full bitcoin node that requires both great storage and bandwidth for optimal performance.
tbdice.org is extensively connected to high speed low latency bitcoin nodes for rapid block change notification and propagation.
Unlike regular pools, tbdice (ckpool) never mines transaction-free blocks due to its ultra-scaleable code which has miners on both new blocks and transactions concurrently.

How it works:
tbdice automatically takes your bitcoin address and gives you a unique stratum connection mining to your own address.
If you find a block, 99.5% of the 25BTC + transaction fees get generated directly at your bitcoin address!
There is no need to worry about passwords, logins, withdrawals, authentication or pool wallet hacks.
You remain anonymous apart from your btc address.
All you need to confirm you are mining to your own address is to examine the coinbase and template sent to you over stratum.
Note that if you do not find a block, you get no reward at all with solo mining.
The pool fee is divided as follows:
0.35% goes to pool BTC address 1BUiW44WuJ2jiJgXiyxJVFMN8bc1GLdXRk to operate the pool
0.15% goes to Con Kolivas BTC address 14BMjogz69qe8hk9thyzbmR5pg34mVKB1e as contribution for his work
Feel free to mine using either pool or Con Kolivas BTC address as username to donate to pool or to Con respectively. You can always transfer some BTC to the mentioned addresses also.

Wondered if you were still alive? Sent back 8 boards and transport-broken fans, they arrived 2 weeks ago at your place, can not get any response, besides a shipping bill from 12-12-'14, for boards that were not even sent to you at that rma request date. Shipping by dhl was 20 Euro from here, do I need to pay back shipping too???

So, if you don't want to handle those rma'd 8 boards, why don't you just say so, instead of ignoring me?

Hi,All,
We are very sorry about some delays and lack of communication last month.
We just moved to new own premises and as far we moved together with our custom machined parts shop it took some extra time and effort.
more than 50pcs  3 tons+ machines were moved.
It is finally over .
Starting tomorrow morning our support Vesi is back online and all questions and requests will be addressed as fast as possible.
Please if you want a refund or did not get your order yet, just send us a reminder to : office@technobit.eu

Our design team is working on a device for recuperation of the mining gear heat back to electrical power.
Our estimation shows that up to 40% energy cost savings can be achieved.
Also our solo pool tbdice.org is going to get new updates

With some of you I discussed this over mail or phone
Again sorry for the inconvenience and thank you in for the patience and  understanding

New features added to the pool

The pool is configured to start you mining at 1024 difficulty.
The pool supports difficulty setting inside your password. The format is: diff_xxxxxxx, where xxxxxxx can be any positive integer value. For example cgminer -o stratum+tcp://tbdice.org:3333 -u 1BUiW44WuJ2jiJgXiyxJVFMN8bc1GLdXRk.0 -p diff_2048 will strat you mining at 2048.
The new diff feature can be used when you are renting equipment which requires higher difficulty setting, or you just want your Ants pool stats to be accurate and so on...
You can use this simple formula to find out your starting difficulty: Instance speed in GH / 1.4. Example for 1T would be 1000 / 1.4 = 714.28 which equals to -p diff_714. Unless there is no particular reason please do not set your diff inside password string. The pool auto adjusts per instance difficulty to maintain a share rate of approximately 3 shares per 10 seconds.

LOL
There is someone on testnet solo pool keen on testnet coins

http://testnet.tbdice.org/blocks.htm

7 blocks so far and 4 blocks belonging to same "person" testnet address.

If testnet miner reads this, i would be glad to know why you are constantly mining tetnet coins.

Thanks

testnet3 is useful for testing software in conditions which are similar to those on Bitcoin main net. A crazy high block rate is nothing like this, so this makes testnet3 useless for this kind of testing.

It is interesting to see how software reacts to reorgs and things like that, not all the time, OK?

Actually, it's good that testnet is throwing a forkfest / orphan storm - and the network is surviving. This is the extreme that "real" bitcoin services need to be able to handle, but rarely see on mainnet. If you only build your bitcoin service for the relatively calm, slow, rarely orphaned mainnet block rate, your service will fall over when things get bumpy on the main blockchain.

A little chaos on testnet is a good thing.

Granted, I'm speaking as someone who runs a testnet bitcoin node in his garage with a few 300GHash/s USB block eruptors on it, solely for the purpose of a) supporting testnet and b) mining a little scratch btc to destroy with abandon in bizarre transaction experiments. This hand-me-down pc mined 15,000 testnet btc over the weekend. Just in time for testing out my new bitcoin code!  Ample supply, and slightly hostile conditions. Perfect test environment!

Telling people what they can and can't do on testnet ... right ... seriously?
Some people need to learn how to do things themselves ...

If you don't like what's happening on testnet then either run your own private bitcoin network for testing,
or if that is well beyond your skill level, just get testnet in a box and use that.

tbdice.org redirect to ltc.tbdice.org....

updated in progress or problem?

I also have 2 questions:

1 - Which are the best settings for Antminer S5 of expirytime-scantime-queue?
2 - If difficulty is set to 1024 cgminer (v4.8.0) not show share (Accepted 25eba26e Diff 0/1024 ) and best share it remains 0...it's normal?

Thank you

Dude,
I was working on something which is comming soon;) now all is fixed. However pool mining was not affected at all. Only web backed was fucked up..

Please excuse me i did a mess

To all if you are still redirected to  ltc.tbdice.org...please clean your browser caches

Answering your questions
1. Which are the best settings for Antminer S5 of expirytime-scantime-queue? - I do not know honestly but i suggest you to use official cgminer build from Con
2 - If difficulty is set to 1024 cgminer (v4.8.0) not show share (Accepted 25eba26e Diff 0/1024 ) and best share it remains 0...it's normal? - Do you mean that pool web backend is not showing you best share? If yes  - now it should be fine just be patient and wait for a minute until stats get updated. If you are talking about cgminer output once again use Con and kano official cgminer

Folks,
I am gona ask you for little more patince. Besides web buggy stats I am working on something else which is a pleasant surprise for all of you mining here. Unfortunately my time is very limited but I will do my best to make it happen within a week.
A comming pool restart will bring you merged NMC mining at 5% pool fee. All you need to do is to provide your nmc address within your password. And if you hit nmc block your coins will be generated DIRECTLY AT YOUR NMC address. More details are comming. Please watch pool thread and make sure you hit a couple of refreshes when you are visiting pool home page just in case  ;)

Guy's,
We are going live tomorrow. Everything is working by the book ;)
For those of you who do care about NMC MM income please check http://ltc.tbdice.org  Replace word "DOGE" With NMC and reconnect your miners providing your NMC address in the password like explained there

A side note:

Pool will not send stratum job restarts(when NMC block change event ocures) in case NMC address is not provided inside password. Everything will be same like before

Best

You do realize you are mining or at least giving support for a pool that is mining with customers non-delivered miners, don't you? You understand that by doing so you are a criminal too?

Guy's
The pool will be operational by the end of this year.
It was a personal challenge for me to make MM solo implementation. Unfortunately ruining a pool with low hash rate in a professional way is the luxury which I can not afford any more. I need my server resources for other unrelated to Bitcoin projects.
I want to thank to all of you who mined here. It was my pleasure!
Please make sure you switch in time. I will advise you to use solo.ckpool.org for solo mining and avoid all CHINESE pools at any cost in general.
However our litcoin pool is doing grat and will stay  open. For any further information about ltc.tbdice.org, please post in the litecointalk.org pool thread.
Keep mining folks ;)
Best
Loshia

To admins:
Please lock the thread and change topic to something like BTC pool closing litecoin is staying operational if you can of course. The other way is to give me appropriate topic permissions to do it personally.
Thank you

FYI the block (https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/block/00000000000000000c9bf7183a64c54bc6b1a8cc03b524f5d9a3daaf43f1b12a) this pool found a few hours ago is v3. Those blocks will start to get orphaned likely in a a few days when BIP65 activates. This pool should either shut down or upgrade to bitcoin core version 0.11.2 before that happens.

I state this clearly pool is closing read. please read my post just above.
I am not going to invest from my time anymore into this. I stated clearly that all of the miners shall switch

Guys,
We hit another block!
But once again I will repeat
POOL IS CLOSING WITHIN A WEEK. BTCD IS OUTDATED AND WILL NOT PRODUCE V4 blocks.

Move to solo.ckpool.org ASAP
Thank you

PSA BIP65 is now active, should probably shut off the stratum servers right away since v3 blocks are no longer valid.

Pool has been shut down. Home page has been updated also!
Once again I want to thank to all of our miners and supporters. Please use solo.ckpool.org instead!

PS: To Mods. Please lock this thread
Thank you

I think I solved my first LTC block a few minutes ago. I saw my address LaMK7NeVwwYq8A4LWRKyj4TEXArhAgtEqw under Block History. I just wanted to see if it were possible to confirm on your end and make sure everything looks good. Thanks!

Wrong thread dude:)
I have asked mods to close it but I guess it is not according to rules.
Any way I will reply you in my LTC pool thread ;)
