Hi guys, we at CoinGecko (https://www.coingecko.com/en) just compiled a list of top Bitcoin personalities that you need to follow on Twitter for the upcoming year 2015. We have over 150 people on our list now and aim to have the most comprehensive list to help everyone network in this industry. There appears to be bias. The top 9 Bitcoin journalists are all CoinDesk employees.

It's not meant to be a Top list. The numbers don't mean anything. I've just grouped all the CoinDesk employees together to make it easier to search.

There should be a disclaimer stating that the numbered list is in no particular order of importance.

Bummer. I didn't make it onto the list.

But you're easy enough to stalk here  :P

BTW, about suggestions for adding names to the list. In the Bitcoin journalist category, Daniel Krawisz and Vitalik Buterin. Those two can write!

Well many of them are good people to follow, but honestly I don't like to involve BTC with social networks, especially twitter. Most people don't know anything about bitcoin and give a bad image to the public.

Vladimir Marchenko, James McCarthy and Matthew Wright didn't make the list?  I hear they're introducing some pretty exciting vapor ware next year. One idea is a virus transmitted through the network that can target only the nodes you choose. It's like playing Battleship but with Bitcoin. lol

Vitalik is already featured under Altcoin Team Leads.
Daniel Krawisz is a good suggestion. I've listed him under Bitcoin Startup Movers & Shakers.

Nice list. How about founders of top crypto exchangers like cryptsy, bittrex or even people from localbitcoin. That would be cool.

I need to follow them? Why? I am sorry, but there is little time I can spare for twitter, let alone "following" somebody, which is not useful in any sort of way.

Can't seem to find the Twitter handle for Vladimir Marchenko and James McCarthy.

Good idea! I thought the founder of Cryptsy, Big Vern used to tweet frequently but seems like he holds the handle @cryptsy and it is now the official Twitter handle for Cryptsy. Let me know if you know the handle that Big Vern uses to tweet on a personal capacity. Likewise for Bittrex, Localbitcoin and other exchanges.

Don't look for them. I was joking. They're the ghost of Bitcoin past that everyone used to follow and listen to. Now they're outcasts. Although two of them did come up with Bitcoin Magazine. They just couldn't run it without screwing it up.
