I believe the info that is currently on the SIM card should stay private and independent of a blockchain.

Post by: Notanon on January 04, 2015, 05:23:10 AM Don't know about using a Bitcoin-sidechain, but a similar process using Blockchain technology with a faster time of 15 seconds per block would be more workable. The other thing that would need to be taken into consideration would be compatibility with the different networks that the SIMs would've used (i.e. for some phones, you'd need different SIMs to access 3G compared to a 4G service).
