Maybe raise an issue on Github, it'll get the attention of the devs that way!

Downloaded the pre-built 64 version for Windows, and installed it in my Windows 7 box. Looks great, runs good so far.

Stepped out to run to the store and one of the kids turned off the surge protector that my Windows box was hooked up to.  Turned it back on and fired up the BitCoin release candidate.  The entire block chain database needed to be re-index  :-[

The entire chain synced from scratch in 12 hours on my 2013 MacBook Air!  Great work!

I have a 50 Mbps connection, though with my os firewall enabled, I was only connected to 8 peers.

The bitcoind hungs up after "assertion failed!". Ctrl-C helps to continue. This is final 0.10, but I guess the hung up relates to rc1 too. The unreadable symbols are cyrillic message about network connection error.
