What will the price be at the end of the year?

I will bump this thread at the end of the year to display the % of whom were correct.

The poll as it stands now is useless as only bulls can vote in a meaningful way.

I think there will be some recovery this year, so I'm guessing between $500 and $600.

This is all subjective and nobody actually knows what's going to happen.

It depends on your desired level of precision in the results. Pollsters usually go for at least 1,000 respondents, but we don't need such precision.
I would say that the 497 votes achieved last time is plenty.
Less than 200 would be dodgy.

2016 becuse of halving will be a year of new ATH. Earlier we will see price movements up and down due to more and more adoption and propably due to ETF.

My wild guess is $457 USD per coin so I voted 250+.

I'll just re-state what I said in the other thread: I think it will be $2.3k. We will have seen another bubble, but most likely have gone down quite a bit again. The bubble will be caused by the next block-reward halving everyone anticipates.

If the current trend of the past 2 weeks continues, then we may hit $500+ by the year's end, although I doubt that'll happen until 2016.

Yes with current price rally we can see $500 to $600 levels by the end of this year 2015. But new need more good news to push the bitcoin price further to make it possible with ease. But when we are considering the halving, at least $500 levels are very much possible.

If you look at how Huobi is imitating MtGox then it might very well be possible. Huobi exchange price is $360 at the moment!! $30 higher than all other exchanges!! This is just insane.

Reminds me of 2013, when Gox was leading the other exchanges up into the stratosphere. Hopefully we don't run into any 'mechanical failures' this time around :D

Crap, for the first time I don't know what to put. Everything is really possible the way Bitcoin has moved the last few weeks.

But before this movement, if someone has offered me $500 at the new year's eve I would have taken it without even thinking, so I will say that I would be happy if we get to the stable $500.

I will predict a conservative $400. Just a few days ago that would have sounded overly optimistic, now it sounds on par, haha.

With the way the market moved the past few weeks, I can say that this one is really going to the moon! With several attempts to take down the price and large amount of coins being shorted, still this bull run didn't seem to care and kept on surging forwards. With that kind of reaction to the markets, do you think the bulls will settle for only three digits by the end of this year? No, I don't think so.

My prediction for December 31^st, 2015: BTC at par with XAU.

You predict that gold will drop below $500? well that is a very brave prediction!
I would expect the lowest low of this bear in gold to be put in the three-digit territory, but even in the wildest dreams I wouldn't go below $850-900.
I doubt that Bitcoin can go that high in what reminds this year, then the only option is for gold to go that low. The sell-off in gold just started after last fed headlines, but we are still in the $1140 region.

With the current trend reaching $1000 is not that impossible. Especially when people continue with buying heavily as they do right now. I really hope we'll go over $400 in November.

I'll be posting another Poll on Jan 1, 2016. Just wanted to bump to show others the results earlier in 2015.

The bitcoin price i think will be from $250+ and up to $500 but i don't think will be $500+ as there are only 12-13 days left.

You're pretty damn close with your prediction seeing how it was $276 on January 8, 2015 and that we still have about 2 weeks left in December and are at $460.

What are your thoughts for 2016?

I go for 250, since i expect it will not reach the 500 value. If it will a draw back to 400 is very likely.
Seeing the results i think most of us are very optimistic or they took a sip of whisky before voting.

I put 250+ because 500 is literally double than that. I think 250 is more realistic than 500 still but I'd wish there was a vote for 350, imo it's realistic as well, as it's near where the price used to be prior to the rise.

I would like to predict higher, but in December 31 won't go that high for now.
I think in 2016 will just go to 1000 dollars, we just need to wait what will happen.

Remember last year, price crashed hard. I hop this time it won't be like that.

For me the price will be below $400 after christmas ends.
The price now still stable until 25 after that the price will become low..

i predict that the price will be over 500 dollars per bitcoin the price has a lot of potential to row now and in my opinion pretty soon the price will start booming again and will easily get over 500 dollar prank what means that i will make a lot of money

my guess is that the price will either be $20 higher or lower than $500 at december 31. i think that's a more than reasonable price to end this year with. that means we have gained over 100% value in less than a year. not bad  8)

Yup Op's prediction is apart Just see that voting pool Its majority to 500$ and more only. Even Many predictor reported as Bitcoin will fall again If its fall also We will not see a fall like that in previous years. Hope for the price to go up. that only good for us.

i predict that it will be somewhere between 400 and 500 marks because the price looks like to be stable right now it would be great if it could go more than 500 though i dont think its possible
