Not that I actually have anything against the guy, just that the pool gets so big it's the only one I know of that has come close to and passed the 50% mark before. But with a pool, your earnings are more steady over time. I'd go with a pool. Don't know anything about dipbit though.

Also 4TH is solo-mining time, but you may want to read up some more about mining and Bitcoin before committing that kind of money. Presuming your "coming soon" means when BFL starts shipping their SC product line, things may change by then. Definitely though, there's a point that it makes more sense to mine solo, even with the variance. Depends on how long you're willing to wait to solve a block. At the current difficulty of 17265676 it'll take almost 3 months (2060 hours) at a 10 GH/s hash rate on average. 10x that hash rate will do it in 1/10 the time.
