Post by: Aggressor66 on January 05, 2015, 12:59:23 PM
What do you think, what news/story had the biggest impact/influence on bitcoin community in 2014?

For me it's:

The MtGox Meltdown
Ebay’s Paypal embraces bitcoin
'Newsweek' says It found bitcoin's founder

The crash of Gox was by far the most important moment of 2014.

Other things like more acceptance if together might in the same order of magnitude, but I still think Gox more important.

I have to say, the Newsweek article was an extremely clever decision.

They generated a lot of publicity for the relaunch of their print issue. Bitcoin was an excellent topic to write about because it was in the media spotlight at the time, and many people were wondering who Satoshi Nakamato really is.
